Chapter Thirty-nine

Charlie’s POV

Max looked absolutely horrified when I told him that I loved Harrison, but it was true, we had been great together and he had rejected me after hitting me, but it was my fault he had asked me to kiss him and I had refused because I was feeling so ill, I didn’t want to vomit in his mouth.

Harrison had been so kind, he found me this morning to wish me happy birthday, maybe I could change for him, maybe he would want me back and then I wouldn’t have to worry about the whole Max and Alexander thing.

I agree with Max, I do need some sleep, so much had happened in the last week that I was beyond exhausted, a young girl comes when called, I think her name was Kayla, Max tells her to take me to a guest room and she bows and tells me to follow her. Her brown hair was tied up in a loose bun and she couldn’t have been any older than me.

She smiles at me “I’m Kayla, your Charlie right?” and when I say nothing sh
