Chapter Forty-five
Charlie’s POV
As soon as I saw her I just felt an overwhelming sense of calm, it was like her soul called to mine as I moved towards her, sidestepping Max so that I could get closer to her. Her scent was intoxicating and like it had its own strings pulling me towards her. She was beautiful and as I wrapped my arms around she squeezed me tight, the tears overflowed, I couldn’t stop them and I didn’t care, I just wanted to be with her.
“Charlie, we have to go” I heard Max’s voice but I wasn’t ready to let go of this woman
“No”, I look into the woman’s amber eyes, I had never met her before but felt so connected, more than I had felt to Alexander or Max
“Charlie, we cannot stay here, it is not safe”
Frowning, I turn to focus on Alexander “And where do you expect me to go?”

Max’s POVI couldn’t believe my brother would try something so stupid and I was ready to kill him! As soon as I started filling the glass of water, I felt it. Max’s POV Agreeing to let her go was the biggest struggle I had ever faced, now she was marked it felt like I had more pressure to protect her, plus I had Ripper calling me all the names under the sun for letting her go. When she finally contacted us, we both breathed a sigh of relief and I felt him relax as much as I did. Charlie could not tell us where she was but she said she was safe and unharmed and with that she cut the mind link and there seemed to be no presence of her heat. I tried reaching out again and was met with a radio silence “It’s good news brother, at least we know she is safe” “But for how long, how long will she be able to keep her cover?” Alexander shrugged “How good of a liar is she?” That I did not know, she had never had a reason to lie, she had hid things from us but that was different, she had never directly lied. “Whilst Charlie is okay, we need to figure out things about this photograph”
