Chapter Seventy-four

Max’s POV

There was nothing I could do, I had spent years training and learning about the werewolf form to protect and help everyone in my pack but as I try to stop the flow of blood from my brothers open wound, I knew it was too late, she had pierced his heart and there would be no coming back from that.

Whilst Alpha Zach keeps Kayla at bay and forces her to shift back, I focus on making my brother as comfortable as possible in his final stages. Even when I hear him tell Charlie he loved her, it didn’t change how I loved my brother and a part of me felt like it was slowly fading.

Deep down I knew he was still mated to her and if that is what he wanted his final words to be then I was going to let him have it.
