Max’s POV

I couldn’t stand how close he was to Charlie and the growl came frome somewhere deep inside me, warning him to get away from my mate. As he moves away I see the wound to Charlie’s stomach, the burn marks already healing and her skin slowly knitting together but she was unconscious.

I didn’t think Kiwi was still able to use her powers but I was clearly wrong, even as Kayla and I dragged her back to her room she was screaming, kicking and trying to throw small purple balls of mist at us. She had taken out two of the guards but thankfully they were already recovering and healing quickly.
