CHAPTER 17

Elijah’s POV

I walked out of my bathroom just as Aiden opened the door and stepped inside my bedroom.

“Is this going to be a daily occurrence?” I asked as I started drying my hair with the towel. “Why are you here?”

“Because I want to go see her and I knew you would bite my head off if I didn’t invite you too,” Aiden said, sighing and leaning against the wall.

I threw the towel to the ground and rushed toward my closet.

“Do you think that she is asleep?” I asked as I grabbed a pair of sweats and put them on.

“I hope so,” Aiden mumbled. “I don’t know how to apologize for what we did. I don’t know what to say. It’s easier when she is asleep and I can just…”

He stopped talking and I heard him take a deep breath.

But I knew exactly what he meant. I had no idea how to express what I felt. I had no idea how to tell her that we fucked up. I had no idea how to beg for her forgiveness. It was easier when she was asleep.

I walked out of my closet and looked at the door that led to her room.
