Chapter 10

 Pluto stared at the three of them with his uncaring, piercing eyes and stood up, making his way towards the kitchen.

"Lock the door while you're at it," he added, facing them with his back.

"Why you little...!" Blaze abruptly stood up with his fists clenched, slightly annoyed by Pluto's attitude.

Everly grabbed Blaze's sleeve and shook her head. Blaze clicked his tongue and crossed his arms before he sat down, looking the other way.

Pursing her lips, Everly's eyes fixed on the cup in front of her. Truthfully, Pluto had nothing to do with the whole situation and he was kind enough to let them hide here from the bad guys. She shouldn't even had the slightest thought of dragging him into this mess, she was the one who wanted to save Ian in the first place.
