_______

Thunder rumbled in the pitch dark sky following up a series of ear-piercing thunderbolts that illuminated the entire tamarisk forest over the mountain crest of Rainford Zone. The entire city of Asanson was audibly frigid thus eagerly awaiting impatience to welcome the first raindrop after a prolonged hot summer day.

A series of black Brittany and Rolls Royce drove away swiftly through the downtown avenue of Rainford to reach their certain destinations before the imminent rain could impede on their pathway.

Beside the bridge of Asanson, a gentle ribbon-like jungle river was passing by crossing across the mountain. As the gust of wind blew randomly through the tamarisk trees, the whole mountain appeared as a deathly hallow to the eyes of the passers-by. It resembled a phrase from the fairy tale, " Devil's Den."

Indeed it was!

But the ordinary human instinct was far away from discovering this truth!

Moments later, the weather had turned frosty and chilly greeting the expectant gush of rain that began suffusing from the growling sky after fighting hard against the dark clouds. The very first raindrop lightly dropped down over her delicate skin causing her wings like eyelashes to flutter abruptly.

Still, she was unbothered to open up her eyes even though it was completely imperturbable regarding the existence of rain. She remained laid down on the muddy ground ignoring the dust and raindrops that were pouring down over her body. She was too tired to move after an exhausting hunt.

Another roar of thunder rumbled with flickered lightning in the air of Rainford as the whole mountain shuddered like a frightened bird.

Between these growls of thunder, a giant animal began appearing out from the corner of the southern-west. The beast was exceptionally well featured with his long black tail and red volcanic eyes that were glistening from the amidst of this half darkened surroundings. Even the rows of white sharp teeth could be seen behind his jaws. His eyeballs seemed incredibly deep and murderous which were emitting an aura of bloodthirsty hungry creature that could slay anyone just in a glance. His sharp claws were leaving footmarks wherever he stepped on this muddy ground. A low sound of his snarling could be heard instinctively as he resumed walking.

Damien had been wandering over the mountain after figuring out that someone had killed the deer from their discerned valley. The culprit was still unknown but he could assume that someone was trying to impose threat over the Blood Moon Pack. He kept silent and observed the fuss closely. His dead father taught him before leaving in this world that a king should only make an appearance when it's needed. Not everything deserved his attention. So he came all the way personally to find those rogues who dared to eye on their prey even after distributing the areas.

Taking a swipe of his blood-stained lips by the tongue, his pace halted abruptly as his dark dreadful eyes fell on a certain figure lying under a giant tamarisk tree.

Curiosity surfaced through his beastly face as soon after the giant wolf commenced transforming into a human being. Under the abrupt stroke of lights, his appearance could be described very effortlessly. Even though his appearance was looking like a man but his well-defined physique was exceptionally aloof yet domineering. His abysmal gaze embodied a billowy storm as he kept his eyes glued on that petite, fragile body. Half of his upper body was drenched with shimmering drops of rain which were still dripping down through his muscular chest.

Damien stepped ahead slightly narrowing his red eyes out of curiosity as his pace continued towards the shadow under the tree. He had two options left to assume that either someone was injured or the rogue might be hiding here.

His dark pupils shrank abruptly once it detected the sleeping beauty in the darkness. His breathing halted for a while as his heart skipped a beat all of a sudden. The appearance of this beauty could be widely compared with a mermaid who just had swum up from the depth of the ocean. Her delicate skin was so sleek and smooth that it was glimmering like pearls even in this illusion of darkness. Her blond long hairs like a cascade of sunlight were spread carelessly over the muddy ground of the forest. Her alluring lips were pinky rose and seemed so zestful as if they were made of pure rose petals. Unfortunately, those pink lips had a stain of blood that seemed fresh.

A sudden concern surged through his mind just after noticing that bloodstain.

Was she hurt?

A repulsive thought came across his mind as he couldn't get away from her without checking on her condition.

Therefore, his body bent down instantly near her body and attempted to touch her delicate wrist. All of a sudden his hand shivered sharply once it came in contact with her smooth skin. He felt as if he had been electrocuted. Thus Damien jerked off leaving her hand in delicacy. He gasped softly and furrowed his brows together in confusion.

Never in his life, he had this reaction while touching a woman like her!

Her skin felt so soft and tender under his fingertips as if they were made for caressing only. Once he was done with checking her nerves, a pleasant smile formed on his luscious lips defending his earlier cold aura.

She belonged to their tribe! A wolf!

He couldn't hold his contentment as soon as he figured it out, and couldn't wait for more to hear her delightful tender voice. But never in his profound thought, he imagined that the reality would be far more distinct than his wishful thought.

Damien used his melting tongue just like water to rouse her up. He couldn't even recall the last time when he used such a delicate tongue to converse with someone. Perhaps his pack members would die in shock if anyhow they could hear this tongue of Damien who ruled Alphas over Alphas, the most renowned king of werewolves tribe. Even other Alphas had to wait in the queue to see his appearance.

Crouching down beside her, his fingers caressed over her cheek with delicacy as he called,

" Little girl.. wake up..Hey..Hey..why are you lying down here?"

Viona Rogers groaned softly and exploded for this sudden unwanted intervene as she opened her drawn red eyes groggily. Once it was opened, she confronted a pair of cold eyes that were intensely staring at her.

Her face turned stiff once she felt that his fingers were touching her cheek. She put on her armour at once after slapping away his hand rudely and cornered herself drifting further away from this rogue man.

Damien's expression plummeted drastically when the girl acted so abnormally as like she was touched by a wrongdoer just a moment ago.

Knitting her sharp eyebrows together, Viona yelled almost roaring from her wolf form,

" How dare you touch me with your filthy hands?"

Damien was speechless!

She continued muttering while scratching her head awkwardly as her sharp eyes scrutinized him from his head to toe,

" Never seen you before! Do you belong to our neighbourhood pack? That beta who hunts for his sluggish, useless Alpha?"

Damien was once again speechless watching himself declining too low before the conversation could even proceed further!
