Chapter 3 * The Alpha King*

GREENLAND HILL had the greatest panorama throughout the entire vicinity and it was located a distance away from the human residence zone which was particularly advantageous for the pack of werewolves. Surrounded by numerous jungle trees and unpleasant parky weather with frequent rain made the situation quite difficult to surmise what was residing behind this dark, impenetrable forest. Usually, human beings didn't prefer to visit this mountain area often thus they had disregarded this forest as usual just like inutile stuff.

The mansion resembled a castle from fairy tales which was quite vociferous today than other typical days as the sound of laughter could be heard from the distant pathways of the forest.

Damien ambled onto the grassy lawn of the courtyard of his mansion only to find out that his pack members were all immersed in an outrageous play at the centre of the courtyard. His beta, Celeb noticed his Alpha king first as he strode towards him carrying a smug smile on his lips.

Reaching closer to him, he respectfully bent down his head and reported,

" Alpha, he had been grounded successfully. Our gammas are quite impatient to play with him."

Celeb stated the current circumstance and awaited to hear a response from him. As a moment of dense silence crept away, Celeb squinted at him with inquisitiveness thus became aghast for a couple of moments.

Their poker-faced Alpha who never revealed any kind of warmness towards any living creature was now smiling widely looking down at the ground in a blank manner. His eyes were genuinely gleaming in gladness as he appeared completely distracted from the world revolving around him.

Blinking for a while in bewilderment, Celeb called him out loudly,

" Alpha! "

Damien was instantly snapped out from his bizarre thoughts and shot a cold, dreadful glare towards the beta. Actually, he was recalling those yearning moments of confrontation with that unknown girl from the forest.

An icy shiver ran through Celeb's spine as he didn't receive any response from Damien. At that moment, Damien completely ignored his face and glared at the way where the dire play was going on.

At the very end of his spacious courtyard, a brown purred wolf was captured and tightly tied against the scaffold. His four legs were tied apart with the chain bangles thence that induced more pain with every single movement and provoked him to groan much stronger than before. His unbearable shrill howling echoed occasionally in the heavy air of Greenland. A bonfire was arranged in front of him whilst a bunch of teenager gammas was playing with the flicker enthusiastically and tried to terrify the tied wolf teasingly with the flicker.

Damien's red volcanic eyes turned darker when that tied wolf came into his sight as he took a large stride on that way. Noticing their Alpha walked in, the gammas abruptly halted their task and sided at a corner for clearing the pathway for his entrance.

Damien stopped just in front of that scaffold and habitually crossed his arms together behind. His presence was intimidating enough to induce the gammas to bent down their heads fearfully.

The tied werewolf finally noticed a familiar figure in front of him hence he howled dangerously along with a round of outcries in protest. He grumbled loudly opening his mind link to communicate with Damien who was silently enjoying his anguish,

" Let go of me, Damien. You dare to torment an alpha because of a slut omega. She is just a whore. Why do you even bother about a mere omega? Let...me..go..aahh..this is unbearable..."

The werewolf couldn't conclude his words as Damien lifted his hand in the air gesturing to the flicker with his darkening gaze. Before the rest of his words could come out, his left paw was fired up abruptly hence once again the surrounding area earned a loud yowl of pain from the tied wolf.

He loudly snarled in pain and shot a vicious glare towards Damien. He knew that Damien had supernatural powers from birth and could effortlessly inflict more suffering and anguish on him silently. Thus he gave up cursing him more.

Damien's expression became gloomier than the transient clouds above his head as he declared in his domineering tongue,

" No matter what she was, an omega or a gamma! For me, each member of my pack is equally valuable. You have your own family, mate even pups. Still, you have dared to rape a little girl from my pack. Who do you think you are? You didn't even cease after raping her. You ended up snatching away her innocent life to demolish the crime evidence. Did you really think that I wouldn't be able to find it out ever? "

Damien abruptly paused between his words and proceeded with taking a brutal venture on his way,

" I, Damien Trevisan never tolerate any injustice nor do I fear of your shitty pack members, Alpha Lucas. Blood Moon pack has never leaned on others nor do they ever will. To us, you are the nasty culprit hence you will confront the consequences of eyeing on my pack member. You will lament till the very end of your life for touching a member of my pack."

The tied wolf shivered like a mere rabbit to anticipate the punishments that were eventually waiting for him. All members of Blood Moon Pack bowed their heads down expressing their utmost allegiance to the man whom they worshipped heedlessly. This was the reason that they toiled hard to fulfil Damien's expectations who treated each one of his pack members equally just like his own family.

After declaring his decisive words, Damien turned around to leave and commanded Celeb to accomplish his decree of punishing Alpha Lucas.

Far away from the mansion of Damien Trevisan, Rainham Mountain had its own ruled pack called Blue Moon. Resided in a remote region, the pack had less communication with the outer world. Ruled by the prominent Rogers Family, they were less destructive thus preferred to dwell in peace without any war or conflicts with other packs. The Alpha Rogers had two sons and one daughter who were outstanding for their exceptional hunting skills and tremendous skill in martial arts along with a few magical powers. His daughter Viona Rogers held an influential position inside the pack for being dauntless and alluring at the same time. The Rogers Sons doted on their only sister even though they weren't probably bonded by blood. But it didn't provoke them to dote less on their sister.

After her encounter with that rogue Alpha, Viona's mood plummeted as she made her way back to their own residence villa. The door of the villa was flung open in a thud as she nonchalantly stepped in after noticing that the entire villa was wrapped with darkness.

She intended to head upstairs in a drowsy manner yet noticing a shady silhouette sitting at a corner of the room, her expression became more darkened.

She cursed under her breath and had to abolish her pace reluctantly. Although she was scheming to take a long run straight upstairs, a thunderous voice instantly made her stiff and frozen at her spot,

" Stop right there, Viona!! How many times I have warned you that you can't go on hunting on a full moon night.. What.. what if..."

He halted suddenly hauling up his body from the couch and took a large stride towards her. Wiggling his intense eyes around the villa, he lowered his voice down before resuming in rage,

" What.. what if anyone finds you out during hunting.. Have you ever thought about the consequences?"

Viona exhaled a long, intense lingering sigh that was filled with grief, agony and solitude. She was extremely exhausted from hearing these repeated warnings again and again. She turned around her head to face the man whose face had already turned red in wrath. Bitterly curling up her ruddy lips, she retorted rolling her eyes back,

" Then you have to announce to the world, Alpha Rogers. What?? Are you ashamed of me or ashamed of your own iniquity?"

Derek Rogers remained thunderstruck for a few moments before growling back in his Alpha tongue. His hand was lifted and already in the midway to land a hard slap on this rebellious daughter of him. But Viona remained motionless, her movements became languid as if she was quite prepared for this attack from earlier.

Before his hand could even touch her puffed cheeks, another voice impeded in his action banging against the lofty walls of Rogers Villa loudly,

" Father.. what are you doing?"

Brian Rogers, the eldest son of the Rogers Family shrieked from upstairs clutching the railings as soon as he sighted his little sister was getting beaten by their father. Hastily marching through the stairs, Brian landed down at a remarkable swiftness and pulled his sister back shielding her like an armed combatant.

Brian realized that his father was head over heels in wrath thus exhorted his sister to fly away from here promptly,

" Viona, go upstairs and change your clothes before sleeping. Your clothes are all dirty."

Viona opened her mouth to assert something tenaciously but at the end, she only sighed softly before going upstairs abstractedly.

Mr Derek watched her retreating back going upstairs as his rage aroused further. Shooting a death glare at his son for spoiling her, he growled,

" Look at her manners, Brian. You two have spoiled her too much and made her intractable. Who will tolerate such a bad-tempered girl like her? Moreover, she never articulates any wishes to find a mate. When did she last attend the Mate ball? I can't even recall. She is already 22 for god's sake! How will I confront other Alphas? I am afraid that she will become a burden for you two, Brian."

Brian sighed helplessly and gazed at the upstairs when the door was slammed in a bang. Pondering in his thoughts for a while, Brian attempted to coax his enraged father patiently,

" Give her some more time, father! It wasn't easy for her to walk away from everything. I can only hope that her mate will be patient with her. Whatever don't stress yourself too much over her issues. I will obviously persuade her to join in the upcoming ball."

Inside the bedroom upstairs, Viona laid her back numbly on the bed as soon as she hopped inside. Her abyssal gaze kept staring at the ceiling above her head whilst her thoughts wandered over those dismal memories that she strived to forget eternally.

Without her slightest consent, a drop of tear tumbled out from her eyes as her low stifling murmur rang against the cold air of the room,

" What was my fault in everything?"
