RECOMMEND SONG: Ocean Eyes By Billie

Damien remained frozen for a while as his eyelashes fluttered abruptly. This sensation of acquaintance was far dominant than anything else in the world. He could sense his heart thumping like a drum inside his chest. A mysterious feeling promptly crept through his veins as he could eventually perceive what was going to happen once they made eye contact.

Restraining himself strongly, he strived to impede his choppy breathings inside his lungs as this was the only way of denying her existence around him. He wasn't quite assured about the consequences but the only fear leaped on his thought that what if she turned out to be his destined mate. If it was in the past time, he would have turned around facetiously and would mark her as his mate right away. But everything was changed in his life once he confronted that mysterious girl in the tamarisk forest.

He knew that as an alpha King, his mate would be innately chosen by the moon goddess. But his zeal for that anonymous girl was further intenser than he expected. Even after so many days passed away, that sudden encounter with her didn't fade away from his psyche for a second. Instead, it tormented him like one of his most delightful memory.

On the other side, Viona paid zero attention to her surrounding as her sole intention was scurrying away from this foolish crowd. Since the day, she had ceased meeting with unknown wolves in fear that what if any of them turned out to be her soulmate.

In a word, both of them were enthusiastic to drift away from each other but were completely unaware of the law that bonded their destinies. The things which are destined to be yours will eventually come to you.

As Damien incessantly compelled himself to stay stuck in his spot, Viona had already fled from the bartender after grabbing another glass for unwinding her puzzled mind. Even though she was compelled to join in this ball, she had no intention of joining this mate ball in desire for her mate, unlike others who seemed way more passionate about this eve.

As soon as she left from there, Damien could sense his heart beating normally again. His brows tightened in frustration thus he picked up another glass and filled his gullet in a gulp. After swabbing his lips clumsily in his sleeve, he staggered on his way towards Hardin thus forced himself to lie down over the couch obediently.

Shit! He shouldn't have arrived today to join in this ball. He should have come only after locating that mysterious girl. In that way, he could have rejected his mate tonight.

Due to the tumultuous frustration inside his mind, Damien was pretty harsh on Hardin and used few strong punches to sober up this boisterous creature. Even Celeb was startled after taking a closer look at Damien's resentment.

What had gotten into him?

Meanwhile, Viona had already discovered a quiet place to spend this meaningless evening peacefully. The corridor adjusted to the villa was pretty long and wide opened toward the mountains around the place. As the clock was ticking closer to midnight which was deemed to be the exact time of claiming each other as their mate, nobody remained in the corridor to roam around anymore. The teenagers insisted on hanging around with each other closely so that they wouldn't miss each other in the time of finding their mates.

Thus Viona was in a pretty decent mood and began relishing the moonlight shower of the goddess while sipping her red wine. Even Brian was so engrossed with his friends that he didn't search for Viona anymore.

Everyone's eyes were settled over the giant hanging clock which indicated that there were only five minutes left before reaching 12 am. Damien was one of them whose frustration thrived stronger once he took a glance at that clock.

Damn! That girl.. will must.. appear now..!

Damien wandered around and couldn't put his mind at ease. His gaze desperately searched around to sense those familiar sensations but nothing could be found among them.

Biting his lips together, he excused himself from that passionate crowd which astounded the crowd including some girls who had dreamt of having Damien as their soulmate. Ignoring their skeptical glances, Damien made his way towards the open corridor to avoid those weird feelings which gave him only one thought that his mate was present among them tonight.

His pace was constant became closer and closer towards the corridor until he halted in midway abruptly. Standing in the doorway, he confronted the back of a woman whose long hair was quivering in the random breeze that came out from the distant mountains. His heart heaved inside in enthusiasm once he cross-checked the image of the girl from tamarisk forest that night with this woman standing in the corridor.

She had these long strands of hair just like this woman!

The anxiety of confronting this face spurted through his mind impatiently. His only yearning was to sprint faster to this woman and turned her around to see her face. But for the sake of his morality, he deterred his impatience and began taking slow steps towards her.

Very surprisingly, his fervor grew stronger and stronger as he took each step closer to her standing figure. At the same time, the fragrance of her feminine hormone filled up his nostrils like an intoxicated fragment that kept dragging his feet towards her subconsciously.

Viona didn't perceive his presence such strongly. She could only discern vaguely that someone was approaching towards her from the back. But her heart banged in dismay more profoundly. The tips of her fingers over the foggy glass became rigid when the presence of that person was very close to her body.

Should I turn around or not?

She inquired herself repeatedly but couldn't comprehend what was pushing her to confront the person standing behind. After went through numerous thoughts in a blink, she clenched her teeth hard and turned around in resentment only to confront a pair of ocean-deep eyes.

Just as Viona turned around suddenly in a rush, Damien became stiff in his track and halted abruptly. His eyes initially dilated slightly in astonishment and then turned into a pool of elation after watching the familiar girl closely.

The happiness on his expression was so overwrought that Viona was too startled before she could react to anything. Both of them remained quiet for a long time as the moonbeam fell over their bodies gingerly.

Just as Damien incited his lips together to say something, the wooden clock from the hallway finally rang loudly. Howls from werewolves instantly spread out in the atmosphere of G-Mountain that heard mesmerizing at this hour.

Damien's face instantly tingled in sensation as his red eyes kept staring at Viona's troubled face. His breathing heaved earnestly as a soft growl eluded through his lips. Inciting his lips together, he only spitted out one word briefly which was far more enough to devastate Viona's serene world,

" MATE! "

Viona gasped retreating her back towards him and wished that this narrow railing could swallow her whole body. Her hands began shaking miserably and finally, a loud bang of her glass tamed Damien's wolf form eventually.

Her body shivered all over in incredulity and saw Brian standing in the doorway awkwardly. Without providing Damien a chance to say anything, Viona blurted out between her gritted teeth,

" No! It.. It can't be.. I reject..I don't accept it.."

Brian froze in his spot including his friends who trailed Brian with broken hearts after being failed to find out their mates tonight. After hearing out Viona's rejection, they all gasped in unison and peeked at each other with disbelief.

Was their king just rejected by his mate? No way! How could anyone reject such a flawless man like him?
