Chapter Three

Amelia's POV

My world was crumbling. I could not feel anything anymore. I got my bags and the white envelope I never opened. I threw it inside the bag. I felt so ugly in my Ponytail and makeup.  I could not clean the makeup, but I dropped my hair. My waves were still beautiful.

I used my phone as a mirror. It was the only available improvisation.

The entire city was hard to deal with. That too with a single life. I had this type of anxiety that was so difficult to explain. It attacked when I least expected it. If I was at home, I knew I would have defended myself properly in front of a mirror.

I needed to cross to the other end of the road. I was not even taking it anymore. I looked left and right. I looked left again before crossing.  It was all good, till when I turned I saw myself flying in the air.

"Oh no!" It was the last thing I could hear myself say.

Kylian's POV

It was my favorite day of the week.  I didn't have anything to do, so I decided to shop for groceries myself. I was vibing with the music that played in my car.

The road was not crowded, and the sun gave everything clearer oblivion. I stopped by an eatery to get a cup of coffee before continuing my ride.

My speed was moderate and the road was clear. If anyone told me I would be the reason for an accident, I would never have believed it.

"Great. Now, this!" I said after I heard the lady exclaim.

I stopped my car, and I rushed to the front of the car just to see a beautiful lady on the floor. She covered her face, and there was something different about her hair.

"Ma'am?" I said, tapping her consistently. I noticed she was bleeding from her leg and head.

I hurriedly picked her up to the back of my car and I got into the car.  I had to rush her to the general hospital which was not far from the grocery store.

I started regretting it. The guilt of having her lose her life would be something else. I couldn't get the reason and how it happened, but I just had to prevent something worse from happening.

"Can you hear me?" I said after I heard her groaning.

It turned out that she was still unconscious.

I was scared to even drive. I didn't want to hit another person.

I was more pissed when I saw the time. If it didn't happen, I would be home and there was nothing that I could do. My business was more important than ever.

When I got into the hospital, the nurses and other health personnel took over. They took her to the Emergency room.

I got back into the car to get her personal belongings. I used the elevator, and the only thing I could think about at that moment was the lady being alive.

I've always been calculative about a lot of things and I hated it when anything was going to come in between my beautiful reputation and business. I had a lot of responsibilities as the Alpha.

The Blue moon pack has always been my greatest possession. I was serious about it and I wanted it to go as it should. My orders were taken seriously and I have been working hard on business in the human world.

While in the elevator, the lady's bag started vibrating. It was her phone. I disliked putting my hands inside a lady's bag. It felt like I was invading their privacy.

"Hello?" My deep voice swallowed the space in the elevator.

"Who am I speaking with? I need to speak with Amelia," she said, and I was stunned by the beautiful name.

"Amelia?" I repeated.

"She is in the general hospital. You have to come to the Emergency room immediately," I added, and the call was aborted.

I used the little information I got and I filled out the form hoping that the other lady that called would find her way down to the hospital as soon as possible.

When I got back to the Emergency room, I was told by the nurses that she was stable.

"She is okay now. She passed out due to shock and her bleeding has been controlled. We have her on some medications, and she will need to rest," the Chief nurse said.

I nodded and I went to check up on her. She was transferred to a room and I felt relieved. I wanted to go, but when I turned my back to do so, a new thing happened.

"Where do you think you are going to go?" I heard a light, smooth soft voice. When I turned, it was the lady.

She stood up and tried removing the bandages. She was already far gone with the bandage on her leg. I was shocked.

"If you continue with that, then I'm going to call the nurse," I said while stretching my hands ttowtoward the button beside the bed.

She stopped. After she stopped, I still went ahead to press the button.

"Really?" She was pissed.

"You were bleeding a lot. The nurse will dress your wounds again. It's that simple. " I added.

I stood by the door pane while waiting for a nurse to come in. I stood there till the nurse was done with the new dressing.

"I was about to go. You are stable now and I think that's the best thing I did today," I added while moving back into the room. She looked exhausted.

"You're Amelia?" I asked, staring into her eyes. I was trying my best. I didn't want to be flirty. It was painful, and I could not bear how hard it was going to be to change such a first impression.

"Yeah, and how did you know my name? Where are my personal belongings? I need to go!" She exclaimed.
