Chapter Five

Amelia's POV

It felt like entering a blocked tunnel or being trapped in a tunnel hoping they will be light at the end of it.

The hospital became my little home. It didn't make any big difference. I didn't have any visitors. I was always having alone time. My only visitors were the nurses and doctors who came to check up on me.

After Kylian left, he didn't return. Every day, Nelly tried to check up on me. She made me feel like I was worthy.

Nothing was going as I planned. I knew that Grumpy Mr. Kylian was another random blunder. I was happy that at least he didn't leave me to die.

I don't know if I had any extra life with the way things went on.

I was motivated when I got to know from the nurse that I would be discharged the next day. I took it like a break and I slept out everything in me.

I was no longer on any medications and my bandage was removed. If I wanted to be honest, I would have begged Nelly to stay back with me.  I knew that as she left, it was going to take a while before I could see her again.  It would have been such a graced miracle.

The next day was well waited for. I stood up that morning and I took care of my hair. I was happy to finally move my legs without pain.

I felt so lonely. When I looked at the time, it was a perfect time to put a call through to Nelly.

"Hey, hero!" Nelly said with a soft tone.

"I can't imagine you have given me a name already. I miss you a lot!" I said tears ing up from my eyes.

"Really? I promise you won't want to know how bad I've missed you," she replied.

"Well, I'm dressing up. Today is my discharge day," I smiled.

"Oh, that's such a relief.  The bills?" She asked. I loved how concerned she was.

"I don't know, really.''

While on the phone, the nurse came inside with a file in her hands. I was holding my phone with a tight grasp. I didn't know how to greet her because I knew I didn't have the bills to pay.

"I hope you are good today," the nurse said, smiling beautifully.

The smile made me feel more comfortable.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm so good. Thank you."

Nelly was still hanging on, and I was still holding the phone.

"I apologize for disturbing you, but this is your discharge form. You just have to read and sign it."

"Also, all of your bills have been cleared. I was also instructed to give you this." She gave me a hard piece of paper.

''It is the number on the car. It will pick you up and you'll be dropped in your apartment. The name of your person is on the other side of the card," the nurse added.

"I will come back to pick up the form. " The nurse left.

"Thank you, " I responded with a wide smile.

"Oh my, Nelly!" I was happy.

"I heard all of that. I'm just so happy because I was worried about how you are going to pay all of that without a job," she added.

"Yeah," I said.

"I will let you finish up. We can talk later at night, you know," she added.

"Take care, Nelly," I said, then I aborted the call.

When I turn on on ned the paper, I saw a car number. I was very happy, it wasn't a joke.

It felt like I was leaving the hateful part of the world for the kind part of the world.

When I looked at the other side of the paper, it was Kylian.

I was stunned. I immediately signed the formunprepareddparedpared

For a lot of reasons, I thought he abandoned me. I mean, we did not know each other. I was just a random person who he bumped into with his car.

When I was done, I felt so ecstatic. I moved out, and I saw a white luxurious car. I was shocked.

"Oh my goodness!" I whispered to my hearing. The driver came down and he got my bag. He opened the car, after welcoming me.

I got into the car, "That's great. You don't know how it feels to be driving without knowing where I will be going," I uttered.

"Well, I was sent by Kylian. I'm his driver. He asked me to drop you at yyoyourdesiredlocationon," the driver said cheerfully.

"Hmm, nice." I showed him the official location of my apartment through my phone.

"I've copied that."

"Okay, thank you," I smiled.

In the next fifteen minutes of me feeling like I was on cloud nine, I was home.

"Oh, thank you so much," I replied. I was asked to wait.

"I was told to give you this black envelope. Everything you'll need to clear your confusion will be inside here," the driver stretched out the envelope.

I was covered with confusion.

I didn't know how to feel. I have never gotten exclusive treatment from anyone.  I felt so special.

"Oh, thank you, I said.

He opened the car and handed my bag over to me. I got into my apartment and the air was fresh. I could not wait.

I dropped my bag and grabbed a glass of water.

I got a white envelope which I knew contained my letter, informing me to leave my workplace

"A black envelope?" I asked myself. I moved into my room to drop my bag.

I decided to open up the envelope after having a good shower. I also ordered good food, it was with my savings.  I was having a good intuition about what was going on in my life at the moment.

I got into the shower, with smooth expectations. I could not wait to find out what was inside the black envelope.
