“How did you know?” Calypso whispered. Cain and Cassidy were just as curious to find out.
“Because I know what it’s like to have that much responsibility,” Nathan offered a small smile.
“It’s true! I am afraid of coming out as Alpha. I mean even facing the Warriors had me freaked out and all at first. My wolf is the Alpha in me, but we all know how she is. I wouldn’t be able to face anything or anyone without her,” Calypso explained.
While all werewolves are able to communicate with their wolves, Calypso couldn’t. Her wolf would only make an appearance when threatened, but they wouldn’t communicate. Since her first shift, her pendant hadn’t spoken to her either.
“You’re a great Alpha Cally-Cals. Besides, you can just tell her that you’re not going without us so that we’re there with you,” Cassidy pointed out.
“Cass is right! Hell, even I&rsqu
Calypso had run the entire afternoon and night, and only made it back in the morning to find Nathan already waiting for her in her room. Cassidy and Ivy had already packed her bags for her, and everyone was ready to leave.“Are you ok?” he asked her.“I am now. Are we all good to go?” she asked.“Pretty much! Everything’s in the SUVs. We’re just waiting on you. I’ve packed you some food and you can nap on the way there. You’re travelling with me and Aiden, while Cass, Cain, and Harlan are taking the one SUV, and Bradley, Truman and Kevlar the other,” Nathan informed.“They’re coming along?” she asked in shock, in reference to the Warriors.Nathan chuckled. “Apparently they want in on the wedding drama.”She raised an eyebrow. “And Sam agreed?”“They’re Warriors. She can’t say no,” he reminded.“Oh!
“It’s me,” Calypso confirmed, grateful for the sunglasses that were covering her tear filled eyes.“Oh my god!” Samantha said before flinging herself at her. Calypso just about caught her as they held onto each other.Calypso had forgotten all about the call in that moment.“You look so amazing! I knew that you had it in you,” Samantha smiled as she wiped away her tears. Calypso took off her sunglasses so that she could do the same.“I know! You’re the one person who wanted me to see the potential in myself,” Calypso replied. You and Channing, her mind added.“And you have gray hair,” Samantha giggled, only to be met by sad sapphire eyes.“What’s wrong?” she panicked as Calypso’s eyes filled with tears.“Cally-Cals, how about you introduce us?” Cassidy spoke up. She knew Calypso was on the brink of a bre
The whole place was going haywire as everyone prepared for the arrival of the Alphas and their mates and dates. The Dark Moon Pack members merely watched on in amusement, with their Alpha and the Prince of the Werewolf Kingdom. Little Aiden was playing with the other children of the pack.“Aren’t I supposed to be helping?” Calypso asked them.Cassidy rolled her eyes at her. “I’m a bridesmaid. You don’t see me jumping up to help.”“Yeah, but I’m the Maid of Honour,” Calypso argued.“You’re also an Alpha Cals,” Nathan pointed out.“I know, but-” Calypso said before they cut her short.“YOU’RE NOT HELPING!”“Fine,” she mumbled, before the two Warriors they had come with joined them.“Anything?” Nathan asked them. He had sent them to find out whatever information they could on Killian’s sudden di
All heads turned to the door where the Alpha stood. He was a mess, and before anyone could blink, Calypso had him in a chokehold against the wall. They couldn’t believe she could even carry someone that heavy with one hand. While he was crazier and a little weaker, Tyson Cannon was still bigger than the average Alpha male.“How dare you even show your face here after what you did to my mate!” she told him menacingly.“It was two years ago and you are my mate. I’m so happy I found you,” Tyson managed to say before Calypso squeezed tighter.“Cally, you don’t want to do this,” Cassidy pleaded.“Oh, but I do! He killed my mate, and he’s still delusional!” Calypso spat.“You’re going to feel horrible about it later. Channing wouldn’t want this Cals,” Nathan tried.“He deserves the justice! He deserves to be avenged!” Calypso
“Uh, this is where my story gets a bit hard to tell. So anyway, we went out that night to celebrate, and Cassidy and I met Nate that night, but we didn’t know who he was. Apparently everyone else knew who he was. Anyway, the next day we were pretty hung-over, but as a pack, we decided to have a barbeque. I was with Cass when I finally decided to call Sam and Danny to let them know that I was safe. Every time I kept asking about Killian, they diverted the subject, and Cass lost it and called them out for it since I had them on speaker. It turned out that Killian had disappeared three weeks before I made that phone call, and they hadn’t bothered to send a search party after him,” Calypso continued.“That sounds dodgy,” Cecelia commented.“Cass and I thought the same thing. I didn’t trust the situation, and to this day, I still don’t trust them fully, even though I trust Sam a little more than I do Jordan. Anyway, Cass
“Well, go on then,” she encouraged.“It would seem that you have a thing for attracting the protection of royals,” Caiaphas commented.“What do you mean?” she frowned.“Spunky, I’m the Prince of the Vampire Kingdom,” Zen informed her. Her eyes widened.“You’re what?” she gasped.“I’m the Prince! The Revolution was started by me against my parents. I was meant to have already taken up the crown, but I can’t stand for the things they want me to do as King, so I started The Revolution against them. We haven’t been around because we’ve been underground. The Revolution has grown in size, but my parents started killing anyone who joined us, so we had to go into hiding,” Zen explained.“Wait, so you’re also a Prince?” Calypso asked. Zen nodded.“That is so cool!” she whispered excitedly, making them laugh.
Calypso watched him as she traced her fingers along his jaw. They were both such different people now, but that hadn’t really changed anything, or at least not the most crucial parts. She traced along the scar on his forehead, and it was enough to wake him up.“Hey,” she whispered.“I missed this sight,” he admitted.“What sight?” she scowled. He reached out to smooth away the creases on her forehead.“The sight of your eyes. They’ve gotten more beautiful over time. I didn’t think it was possible,” he explained. She blushed under his scrutiny. He caressed her cheek. “And my second favourite sight in the world.”“What are we doing Killian?” she sighed.“What do you think we’re doing?” he countered.“I think we’re very...” she trailed off.“Very what?” he scowled.“Never min
She turned to her brother. “What the hell?”“One of Caiaphas’ powers is detecting when you want to speak to one of us. It’s the strangest thing,” Zen casually explained.“That’s weird. Ok anyway, this is Killian. Lian, that’s Zen Blaze, my brother,” Calypso introduced.“Your brother is the Vampire Prince?” Killian asked wide-eyed. Not many things shock him anymore, so this was major.“Yep!” she nodded.“This is the infamous Killian? I thought the two of you weren’t exactly at peace,” Zen questioned.Calypso bit her lip. “Well, it’s a long story.”“Seemingly,” Zen replied, looking between the two of them. She narrowed her eyes. “I’d have to explain it to you, so stop coming up with your own conclusions, and neither are you telling the others about this.”“Now you&rsquo
