Sianna's POV
"Sia, go get ready," dad said politely, a smile on his lips.
I was in a good mood because I had just gotten home from the hospital, and seeing my father all happy and recovering lifted my spirits as well.
Aldrich has been furious with me since the day he found out I met Peter. He has crushed me under the weight of work, partly because he is still angry that I am working with him, and partly because he does not want me to meet anyone. Although his lips did not move to say anything that day, his eyes threatened me not to meet Peter again.
As if I'm going to listen to him! Huh!
We were having our evening tea when Dad abruptly asked me to get ready. Not only was I perplexed, but so was Aldrich. As a result, he asked me a question.

But he's alive, and there's still hope for a full recovery, which is enough to keep me calm. I'm not mad at Aldrich anymore. Despite the fact that he was not present in the hospital, he paid the amount that saved my father's life. I almost lost my father forever. As I walked down the hall, I noticed Aldrich and his father sitting on the couch. Dad smiled as soon as he saw me, while Aldrich remained focused on his phone. "How is Fedrick doing now?" Dad inquired. "Alive," I said. He nodded in agreement. Every minute, he is taking a report on my father's health.
