19| A starry night

Sianna's POV 

I was still not ready to leave the hospital after six hours, but Aldrich's father sent his driver to pick me up and insisted on my return.

The operation did not go off without a hitch. Dad is unconscious, and the doctor has no idea how long it will take for him to regain consciousness. It could be a single day, a month, a year, or even more than a year. But he's alive, and there's still hope for a full recovery, which is enough to keep me calm.

I'm not mad at Aldrich anymore. Despite the fact that he was not present in the hospital, he paid the amount that saved my father's life. I almost lost my father forever.

As I walked down the hall, I noticed Aldrich and his father sitting on the couch. Dad smiled as soon as he saw me, while Aldrich remained focused on his phone.

"How is Fedrick doing now?" Dad inquired.

"Alive," I said.

He nodded in agreement. Every minute, he is taking a report on my father's health.
