Chapter 15. The deal

Fay had been thinking about it all the way.

“I’ll just look after them after class.”

That was unthinkable to Cade. He had already given her a large salary, but this girl would only look after the two kids after she got home from college.

“Don’t say that you’re going to leave them unattended here.” Cade became annoyed.

“Don’t overdo it. You should know that I’m also busy and can’t fully look after them. You can send someone else for a few hours while I’m gone. Besides, it’s time for Mike and Mika to go to school.” Fay reminded.

“They’ll make trouble like they did with Langdon. I’m not sure anyone will survive.” Cade wasn’t sure about hiring anyone else as another nanny. Based on the experience of the past two days, probably no one would last beyond one day.

“You think I’ll last?”

“You have to endure,” Cade said quickly.

The two looked at each other. Fay didn’t quite understand the meaning of Cade’s words.
