A maid

ALLISON POV

Waking out of my dreamless slumber at the sound of the constant knock on the door, I groaned, rolling on the large king-sized bed.

I attempted to climb down from the bed, but I couldn't. My body felt very heavy, especially my legs. It was as though I was bound to the bed, but I couldn't see any restraint.

My head pounded, and I groaned while attempting to open my tired eyes.

As soon as I was able to, the light from the sun streaming into the room from the open window flashed into my eyes. I shielded my eyes from the sunlight, and I glanced around the room and then at my leg.

I wasn't bound as I had assumed, but my injured leg was wrapped in a new gauze. I remembered Chase doing that after cleaning my wound.

And since he left, I haven't seen him. I didn't know if he was mad at me, but then I doubted there was anything for him to be pissed about.

He had asked about the child from the cursed moon. I wanted to know more about it as well because my mother didn't tell me much.
