Alma walked Dr. Laënnec in silence to the greenhouse where Peter was. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke you would wish he hadn't.  Alma entered the greenhouse first and addressed Peter "Mr. Callahan, Dr. Laënnec wanted to speak to you." While on horseback heading to his parent's estate, Peter had looked over at Drizella who was riding a short distance beside him, and watched her intently for a short while until she met his eyes and blushed before asking "What are you looking at?"  "Where did you learn to ride?" He asked.
