Love sister

Candace stared at the nurse, who was conducting an examination, still feeling worried.

Suddenly, an international call came in.

Seeing that the call was from "Baby", Candace rushed into the hallway and answered

It was nighttime in the Capital. But Daisy had not yet fallen asleep. Knowing this, Candace couldn't help but feel a little worried.

"My love, do you miss Mommy so much that you can't fall asleep?" Candace felt anxious and guilty as well.

In the past, she had cuddled Daisy to sleep every day.

On the phone, Daisy snorted and said stiffly, "Hey, it's impossible. I'm just worried Mom's going to miss me too much.

Candace felt a little weird about that. She found that Daisy liked to say things that didn't make a lot of sense. She wondered who she sounded like.

"Well, I certainly miss you a lot.... You must behave yourself. It's getting late. You'd better go to bed soon"

Daisy was satisfied, with a grunt and in the tone of a young adult, replied, "Mommy should be good too. Then give me a kiss. And I'm going to sleep"

Candace laughed involuntarily as she thought of Daisy's expression at that moment.

"It's all right my love"

There was no sound on the other end of the phone. Candace didn't hang up until Daisy fell asleep.

It would be great if Daisy hadn't gotten sick. She was a smart, sensible, charming kid.

Candace was lost in thought, completely unaware that a man was standing behind her....

Seth's face turned blue and was already clouded with weirdness.

"My love?" What a flighty bar girl...".

He went downstairs to look for her because he mistook her for "Candace".

Thinking about all this, Seth offered her a cold smile.

"Isn't your "love," Mr. Castle, in the room? Could it be that... he has many more loves?"

Candace was surprised, she turned around. Her phone fell, and luckily it was caught by Seth.

"Mr. Seth, why are you here?

Candace, flustered, reached out to grab the phone.

This man walks in silence, she didn't know how much she had heard.

Seth did not comply with her wish. He just held the phone above his head. At six feet tall, Candace reached his shoulder, she was five foot six.

Candace couldn't reach the phone. So she looked a little angry and her cheeks turned slightly red.

Seth found the angry woman very interesting. He couldn't help but tease her.

Seeing that the reserved Mr. Seth had so little interest, Candace immediately had other ideas.

Candace bit her lip with her hands on Seth's shoulders. She said in a sweet, charming voice: "Mr. Seth, I have many loves. Will you be my love?"

She played with her loose hair with her other forefinger. She looked like a seductive sprite.

Seth snorted. To deal with such a shameless woman, he had to be more shameless than she was.

Seth felt himself stiffen as he looked at this woman. He knew she was a flirtatious woman. He shouldn't have wasted his time with her!

At that moment, a nurse walked by and gave him a look.

Her eyes seemed to say, "What a sassy woman!"

Seth held back his emotions and hurriedly tossed the phone to the woman. Then he walked away.

Actually, Candace was not as calm as she looked. Thank God, the man was gone. Or he would become a problem.

Seeing the man defeated, Candace good-naturedly patted her dress.

Keeping her emotions in check, Candace went outside.

She saw a woman standing next to Seth.

"She was... Ruby?"

Ruby was standing next to Seth with a happy, shy look on her face. She held Seth's arm confidently. While the man stood still showing no emotion.

Candace hadn't seen Ruby for five years. She was still a highly esteemed member of the Flaming family, and loved by them since she was a child. Her engagement party with Seth five years earlier had been a sensation at home and abroad.

Those who passed by were casting envious glances at them.

Someone was whispering: They are meant for each other, what a beautiful couple!

"A handsome man and a beautiful woman... "

Hearing those words, Ruby was so pleased that her eyes were full of joy.

She could not see Seth often. But she heard that he had gone to see his grandfather in the hospital, so she hurried over.

Seth still looked cool and respectable.

"What's wrong?" Seth asked coldly. He stepped back and held out his arm.

He hated it when she touched him, except for once five years earlier.

Ruby's smile froze. She pulled her hand back awkwardly and kept her composure.

She replied in a soft voice: Seth, I want to invite you to the family dinner at the Flaming House. Grandma's birthday is in three days.

She hadn't seen Seth for a month and he never took the initiative to contact her. The man in front of her was cold in nature and his mind was truly elusive.

"Okay" Seth was still cold.

The Flaming family was known to Mr. Ricauter, so he would be attending the dinner.

But Ruby didn't know that. She just thought Seth agreed for her. She was so happy.

One way or another, she was going to take their relationship a step further this time.

Ruby was happy, planning in her mind, but her pupils widened and her body trembled impulsively at the sight of Candace.

Candace noticed the change in Ruby. But she just smiled. A bright, pretty, flirtatious smile.

Ruby looked like she'd seen a ghost, her face full of disbelief. She thought Candace had died five years before.

But Ruby would never have mistaken the woman who had been beautiful since she was a child and drove her crazy with jealousy. She always found reasons to keep Candace at home, never letting others see her. But now Candace had become enchanting. Her every smile was mesmerising.
