I woke up, for the first time in a long time, feeling rested and happy. I woke up to the feeling of wanting to open my eyes and start the day. Something I hadn't felt in a very long time.
I rolled over and patted the side where Ashton had fallen aslepp beside me. Only to find it empty.
My eyes darted open and I sat up quickly, looking aorund. Hoping it hadn't all been a dream.
I was in the room, in the cabin. That much was true.
But where was Ashton?
I got up form the bed and strolled over to the closet. My robe hung on the hook beside it and I wrapped it around me.
I walked over to the door but just as I was about lay my hand on the handle, someone else opened it.
