Her thoughts were racing when she rested her head back against the headrest. Her pulses quickened.
Rushing footsteps reached her ears. A smile crawled over her face. She looked at the door. Cody ran into the room first, Selena was chasing him.
"Mom, Ena is scaring me." Cody climbed the bed hurriedly and curled his thin arms around her neck, escaping what his sister had planned for him.
"Mom! He's lying." Her eyes were big.
"I never lie, mom. It's she who lies all the time." Cody looked at her with big eyes.
Selena placed her hand on the back of Cody and tugged him down. He sat on her lap still pushing himself away from his naughty sister.
"You can't scare your younger brother," She told her, curling her arm around Cody.
Selena folded her small arms and frowned at Cody, "Yes, I lied." She admitted but she wasn't looking guilty.
Fighting a smile at their ridiculousness. She pulled back and stared at him, " Promise your brother, you won't lie." She smiled as recalling her sweet fighting moment with her husband.
"But I can't promise, momma. It's compulsory." Selena frowned, jutting out her lower lip.
"And why is that?" She demanded, flashing a soft smile her way.
"I don't wanna trap myself in trouble." She said, sadly.
"But you won't be in trouble among your family." She said, touching her puffy cheek with her index finger.
"I'll try, mom." Selena smiled.
It made her laugh, "She won't scare you." She told Cody.
Cody looked confused at first then he nodded and climbed down from the bed. Selena held his hand, "You won't feel fear with me," She told him.
He nodded thoughtfully and looked at her, "Goodnight, momma." He outstretched his free arm at her.
She inclined forward and took him in a tight hug. She kissed his head, "Night, sweetie." She kissed Selena's head, too, "Don't scare him."
"I won't, mom." Selena pulled him out of the room.
Liam walked into the room. His phone was hoisted up to his ear. Selena and Cody hugged his legs and looked up at him. He disconnected the call without a word. He hunkered down and took them in an embrace. He glanced at his wrist and his brows pulled together, "What are you doing out of your room?" He asked them, drawing his head back.
She leaned back and stared at them with a smile on her face.
"She was scaring me, dad," Cody spoke immediately, pointing his small finger at Selena. He looked at the brink of crying.
"You're a strong man. Ain't you?" Liam looked in his eyes.
She gulped the lump in her throat as she imagined him preparing their baby for the throne.
"I'll be a brave man, dad. I promise." He nodded, adopting his father's expression.
"Liam," She couldn't hold back.
Liam got on his feet, "Go to your bed, kids." He hadn't finished his words. They already ran to their heels out of the room.
"Get used to it. You're going to see me getting more strict with our son." He said. She couldn't ignore the determination in his voice.
"But, Liam."
His gaze cut her off, "They will learn at least self-defense." He said, his stern expression saying this was the end of their conversation.
She frowned at his holster, "We're home," She almost chided him. She bit her lower lip nervously, Her eyes drifted away from his face.
A warm smile crawled over his face, "I can't take it off. I hope it will not trouble you." He said in a whisper.
She sighed a long sigh and exhaled. She nodded after a pause, eyeing the weapons. Her stomach growled. Embarrassed, she squeezed her eyes and a smile covered her face, "Can we eat?" She asked.
"Of course," He kissed her.
Blushing, she opened her eyes, feeling all the emotions for her husband. He drew her u
p on her feet, tugging softly.
He threw the shirt over his head. His holster was laying on the nightstand. He had no idea if she blatantly talked about her concerns it wouldn't anger him. He didn't want to change his mind. She was wiggling her feet nervously. His world was hard-core mafia territory. But it wasn't her worry, something else was, it was written all over her face. He swiped his tongue over his lips and took steps forward. "Rose," He said, towering over her. He tried not to scare her. She glanced up and smiled. Her smile warmed his heart. He inclined forward and lifted his hand. He was studying her closely. They were far from the moment when she was scared of him. She is frightened of him now too, but only fear of losing him. The corner of his lips kicked up proudly, he said nothing else just kept running his fingers in her silky long hair. "Liam," Her voice was soft. He pulled back as he felt a whole lot of heat in that moment. There was a hint of teasing in her
Rose Tears obscured her sight. She wiped them immediately. She wasn't certain about her words made to him. She wanted to break them. She couldn't bring herself to say it to him that she wanted their son to be a normal businessman. Liam would never agree over it. She knew it. Her gaze was on the door. He could be back at any time. She didn't want him to know that there were tears in her eyes. He would be furious. She didn't want to endure his anger. The door opened. Her heart began to palpitate in her ribcage. She stared at it without blinking her eyes. Liam emerged from behind the door. A deep frown covered his forehead when he saw her sitting on the mattress, the comforter was pulled over her legs, and her back was resting against the pillows. She gulped when her gaze met his confused intense gaze. He lifted his wrist and stared, "It's too late," He murmured as he closed the door behind him and walked over to the bed. He took her chi
She woke up in the middle of the night. She felt the craving to eat something. Her gaze rested on her husband. She couldn't take her eyes off him. He was so handsome, so strong. Her fingers itched to slither through his dark silky hair. She shook her head with crimson cheeks. Her hunger was pushing her to get up. She put her feet down and paced out of the room. Her feet halted when she saw Vanessa Hudgens standing out of the door. She narrowed her eyes at her, and her smile faded. She closed the door behind her, softly, "What are you doing out of our room?" She asked in irritation. She didn't like her. "It's my duty to protect you, ma'am," Vanessa said in her robotic voice. Would that! I could find a button to switch off you. - she thought. She began to pace toward the staircase, "I'm with my husband. I don't need you. Shoo," She gestured with her hand to go her away. "Sorry, ma'am. Boss has strictly asked staff to follow his order,
Liam Rodriguez She lowered her head. He knew her from the core of her heart and understood everything without her explaining. He fastened his cuffs. His gaze didn't avert away from her. She was Capo's wife and her brother, father-in-law were bosses too. But she was brought up in a different environment. "Rose," He whispered, but enough for her listening. She forced a smile on her face when she glanced up at him. He gave her a look, clearly demanding the reason behind her sadness. "Vanessa follows me everywhere. I hate it. Sometimes, I wanna hide myself. So, she couldn't find me." She blurted in annoyance. His expression hardened as she spoke her mind out. He never wanted her out of his sight. The mere thought of her going away, pumped his heart faster, and surge the wave of anger through his entire body. His jaw tickled as he tried to rein in his anger. Which wasn't his personality until Rose happened in his life. "She's protecting you from an unknown
His phone rang, breaking the silence of his office. He didn't peer down at the screen before answering the call, "They'll come to Lily Mansion." Nicholas said through the speaker. He had built the place in remembrance of his mother. He was considering her dead. One day when Dean showed up in his office. Someone tried to kidnap his wife and he helped her. That was the first time he had glimpsed his mother. "Ok," He grabbed the keys from the desk and shuffled out of the office. Danny and his reinforcements came to his side immediately. He dialed a number and hosted up his phone. "Kairo, I want you home." He said. "Don't worry. They'll be safe." He shoved the phone in his pocket as he made his way out of the building. "Sharpshooters have been appointed as you instructed, Boss," Danny said. "Stay with Danil. He may need you in the office." He ordained him. Danny looked hesitant for a second, but he bowed his head, "Okay, boss.
Rose Lily patted her head affectionately, "Everything is done," She said, getting on her feet. She was looking exhausted but happy. "Yes, shopping is done." She told her with a smile. She wasn't allowed to go out. Her mother-in-law Olivia arranged everything in the house. "Let me know if you need anything," Olivia said, dismissing Todd. She wanted to go out and visit every store before her brother-in-law's wedding. A plan was already hovering in her mind. She stayed put, waiting to be alone. Vanessa wasn't around her. She grabbed a magazine randomly and began to shuffle the pages, trying to show interest. When the path was clear, she got on her feet. She quickened her pace out. She slowed her pace near the garage. There were guards. But they couldn't question her. It wasn't their duty. But they would inform Liam. She was silent as she climbed into the car. But her eyes were filled with happiness. She was glad that Vanessa wasn't ar
LIAM RODRIGUEZ Tenderly, he ran his knuckles on her cheek, "Her blood pressure is low, boss." He heard the sixth doctor. He didn't want to repeat what happened in the past. "I'll bury you alive twenty feet down in the earth." He snarled at them. They looked frightened of him. He could see some of them sweating and some shivering. "Liam, she's fine." Olivia paused, looking at him, "Let them go," "Mother," His hard gaze cut through the queue of doctors, glancing down at the floor. "Liam," Nicholas peered at him. He waved his hand at them. The doctors didn't take more than a few seconds to shuffle out of the room. "Mierda, I'll kill them all," He slithered his hand in his hair, and his gaze returned to his wife. It was rude. He couldn't endure seeing her in this condition.Rose She sat herself up, wincing, finding everyone in the room and looking at her. She pushed herself back. The bedrest stopped her further movement. S
She glanced at sleeping Emerald. The corners of her lips curled up, imagining her baby, "How does it feel to hold the tiny bundle for the first time?" She asked, with a soft smile. "I was scared to hold her first. She was so small. Her eyes were closed, wailing. I can't explain my happiness. You're going to feel it soon." Chuckled Alena. She giggled and lowered her lashes in shyness. "Momma," Selena stormed inside the room. Alena put her index finger on her lips, gesturing to her to be quiet. There was a hint of a smile. Selena looked at sleeping Emerald and nodded her head, "Grandma is looking for you, momma." She said in a low voice, looking up at her. "I'll be back," She told her and threaded her way out of the room. She liked to spend time with her family. She was still trying to know her. She liked to spend time with the little one of the family. A soft smile touched her lips as she saw her brother Caspian in the hall, "Rose," He
