Mia's POV

"Should I call him or not?" I asked myself as I paced about the room, the card Allen had given me was tightly squeezed in my hands as I thought of what to do.

There was a high possibility that it was him who paid for it. Kara wouldn't do something I asked her not to do. If it was him who paid my debts, was he the one who also rented the house so I could be chased out and would have no choice but to run to him? He was more desperate than I thought.

I typed his number on my phone and dialed it. It rang twice before he picked up.

"Hello." His deep voice filtered through the phone, sending chills through my spine. I was suddenly nervous to speak.

"Hi, this is Mia." I said after I had cleared my throat.

"Oh! I've been expecting your call. Have you made your decision?" He asked, his voice sounded so calm and I hated it, there was nothing calm about the situation he had out me in.
