“I'm so sorry, it's not because the fish is bad, but the thing is…. I'm allergic to shellfish and seafood in general.” I squeezed my face as I spoke, waiting for their reaction.

“What!?” They all exclaimed in unison because they almost couldn't believe their ears.

“And you didn't know this, Sorin?” His father asked him but he remained quiet, he just kept staring at me.

At some point, I was getting scared because I didn't understand what was going on or why they were so shocked.

“Come to think of it, she is left-handed.” Sorin's mother said as she observed.

“Yes, that's true.” His father agreed.

“How is this possible? How can she bear so much resemblance?” She whispered with a shaky voice, and her husband immediately held her hand, like he was comforting her.

I remained seated, looking so confused because no one was telling me anything. I was just left in the dark to figure out what was going on by myself and this was the hardest thing.
