CHAPTER 22

JACOB

I was oddly calm when I came home, even though I was not the one to come. But I felt calm and happy that she trusted me enough to let me do what I did.

I am lying in my bed when a bright light lights up the dark room, and a woman who can only be the moon goddess stands in front of me. I get out of bed and bows to her getting on my knee to show her the proper respect.

“Moon-goddess, it is an honor,” I say in a steady voice, but I am shocked.

“Stand up, Alpha.” She tells me, and I do as told.

“You are making me proud, Alpha.” She says as I stand up.

“That makes me happy to know, my Goddess. I am not sure what I have done to deserve that, though.” I answer.

“You are a good man, Jacob, more so than most others would have rejected their mate in your situation. Not only does she come from a very different culture and country, but she is a human.” She says.

“I don’t care about all that, she has a fighting spirit and a caring heart. She is the perfect Luna, human or not.” I say and the
