Chapter 5

Annabelle pov

Flash back

"What is happening ? "I cough loudly as the smoke chokes me to death.

The miracle fire that started at mid morning has sweeped through the entire pack house and now its approaching the forest. We call it the miracle fire because it basically has no source . It's like a wild fire!

"Kane ! "I shout as I look around the foggy smoke that has risen up to the ceiling. The heat sweeps through the entire place and I feel like I'm dying . I can't leave without my twin brother.

"Kane ! "I scream again as I hold my breath looking for him.

I kick open the door and I almost die out of shock to see my brother lying unconscious on the floor with blood dripping from his chest . I almost lose my control when I see Jason standing just behind the body.

My mouth quivers as no words can describe the feeling that I have . I drop my eyes on Jason and he looks at me with horror . I can't believe my best friend would lay a hand on my brother like that . I always thought they never got along but this is taking too far . He took advantage of the fire to kill my brother.

I finally open my mouth and cry out loud, "you killed my brother! "

"listen , "he trails as he puts the knife down slowly.

"listen to what ? "I cry as look at him with a bewildered look.

"He tired to stab me -"

"So you had to kill him ! "I scream with hot tears dripping down my face.

"Anna , "his voice breaks as he tries to hold my hand.

"Don't touch me ! "I scream as I back away from him quickly. He doesn't retreat his hand from me but he tries to come closer to me. He looks so guilty like he didn't just slice my brother . Every nice image I have had of him is distorted and all I want to do is just flee right now.

"Don't touch me ! "I warn him again as I step out of the room.

When I look behind . The fire has sweeped through the entire house and there is absolutely no where to go . I look around in horror because I now realize that I'm stuck . The smoke chokes me as I try to find a way out.

"Annabelle , "he croacks out my name but I don't listen to him.

Instead I just shake my head and move back further . The smoke is too much and I starts to feel hazy . The last thing that I see as I drop to the ground are the piercing blue eyes of Jason as he holds me still.

Flash back ends..

The loud phone vibrates on the table as I wake up from the nightmare I have had since I got married to Jason last night. A painful reminder that I married my brother's murder and I made a mistake.

I pick the call relunctulay and answer my sister ,"hello, "

"What's going on Anna? "she screeches like a banshee over the phone.

I pull the phone off of my ear as she yells at me in profanities I'm not even sure I can understand. This is not my cool sister on any day . Whoever has worked her up like this has really done something to anger her . My sister is never moved by anything even if the world was on fire.

"What is going on ? "I finally ask with a worried voice.

Normally as wolves we would not go through the hustle of calling each other but as someone who is wolfless I don't have that privilege to mindlink with anyone yet.

She takes a deep breath and finally answers me , "You have to talk to your husband because what the actual fuck is he doing ? "

"What do you mean ? "I ask confused.

"He just ordered the whole pack to relocate to his pack today , "

"This is unacceptable ! "I yell on the phone.

"I did not expect this to happen like this . I thought the financial muscle was the only thing that was important, "

"Hang on , "I take a deep breathe and cut the call.

What ever just happened was not part of the deal but he just had to do whatever he felt like doing. What is wrong with him? I spring from the bed quickly without minding how I am dressed . I need to give him a piece of my mind!

I open the door with so much force and run downstairs with lightening speed. I don't even know where Iam going but the rage burning inside of me is enough fuel to lead me to wherever he is.

I stomp violently as I think of what I should tell that man. I don't even look where I'm going when I bump into a wall of muscle . I fall down on with a loud thud and let out a whine.

"Please watch where you are going ! "the voice growls rudely.

I look up to see a tall man with dirty blonde hair and dark brown eyes . I stand up quickly from my position and attempt to push him aside.

"Excuse me! I need to see your alpha and you are in my way , "I grit out.

"Excuse me who are you ? "he asks as he cocks his head.

"You! "I open my mouth to give him a piece of my mind

"Anna , "Jason's voice interrupts me form annihilating the person in front of me.

I turn my head and furrow my brows . Finally the person that I wanted to see and now I have two people I want to give a piece of mind.

"John it's okay , "he raises his hands to wave him off.

John looks at me with a confused look and leaves us alone . Finally now I get to say what I want to say . I fold my arms tightly and step forward with two steps ready to shout at him.

"Who do you think you are ? "I poke my finger on his chest without showing him any fear.

"What seems to be the matter ? "he aks me calmly as his dark gaze penetrates though my soul.

"You are asking me what's the matter when you just asked my pack to relocate to your pack . That was not part of the contract Jason! "

"I am the alpha and I get to do whatever I want , "he replies with a cold voice.

"I don't care if you are the alpha. That is my pack and you have no business trying to run things the way you want ! "I shout.

"I have all the rights -"

"you have no rights ! "I snap at him,"you've no rights to do what you want because that's not part if the deal , "

"listen to me , "he speaks coldly as he comes closer to me .

I tighten my chest as he comes dangerously close to me . His hit breath fans my forehead as his cold blue eyes drop slowly from my lips to my chest then to my face.

"I will do whatever I want , "he slowly smirks as his face comes closer, "and you can't do anything about it, "

"Jason -"I stutter.

"Get dressed! You look like a wreck ! "he speaks and steps away from me immediately.
