Annabelle pov

Every part of my body wakes up as I hook my tiny arm into his bigger arm. I take the first tentative steps as I walk first. I almost fall and trip as we walk down the stairs together. Jason helps me balance just in time. Embarrassment is an understatement as I try to find my courage.

"I am sorry. I'm not used -"

"Just don't embarrass me in front of everybody at the pack house, "he cuts me off without looking at me.

"I am not, "I reply agitated as I try to smoother my dress as we walk downstairs.

The drive to the pack house doesn't take long because it is only a few kilometres away. Once we reach the pack house. My heart starts to pound quickly as I think of the pack members inside. Are they going to like me? Will they see the deceit in my eyes?

My mind is whirling with so many questions as the anxiety in my entire body starts to rise. At this point, I wish I could just run away from this place and go back home. I wish could do this. This is the best time.
