Chapter Six

"What's this in clause 5, this wasn't added here the first time." Kiara pointed out as her eyes carefully kept scanning the contract to check if there was anything that had been changed other than what she had earlier asked to be changed.

"Mr Aiden made it clear that we offer him this if he was going to agree to what you earlier stated."

Kiara pursued her lips, thinking about what he had just said. Although the Clause wasn't going to have so much effect on the contract there was nothing so special or suspicious about it, but still, she felt a bit of uneasiness staring at it. What was Aiden up to when he added this?

"If you would like us to proceed, then I can send the contract back immediately, and you can head there as soon as possible. As I told you earlier, this is a matter of urgency, and therefore, there's a need for an urgent response."

Kiara didn't utter a word as she was still staring at the contract. There was no need to rush because she was doing this for herself. She knew what she wanted so she smirked and hoped to see Scarlett in the blood moon pack as well

Kiara thought that she might not have gotten Aiden, or she might not have been blessed as his mate, but she had something more important than anything she could ever wish for_ she had her triplets. Her three little angels gave her a reason to smile and push through all these years.

"Doctor Karla?"

She fluttered her brows, slipping away from her trance about how. life had treated her for the past 6 years. It wasn't so easy, damn! Lisa could testify to that because Kiara had to push forward, she had to fight so hard and while she was pregnant, she kept thinking about Aiden, especially how he had betrayed her overnight, calling her a whore and believing that she had cheated on him. When Kiara found out she was carrying triplets, it only made her passion to live and survive stronger because she knew she had to mother and father three babies.

Unknowingly, Kiara had no idea when tears slipped down her eyes, and she sniffled, picking up her handkerchief and wiping the tears away. It had been so drastic, but maybe fate was trying to make amends for how hurt and betrayed she had been in the past.

"Alright, can I have a pen?"

She was handed a pen, and just one last time, Kiara stared at the contract. Was this the right choice? She had been feeling so uneasy, but at the same time, her fingers were aching so much to draw her signature on that line. It was the decision of her heart against her instinct, but finally, her signature was staring back at her.

"All done."

She handed him the contract and placed the pen on the table.

"There's a ride available for you, and you'll be heading straight to the airport in 5 hours. Your flight and every other thing you'll be needing has been taken care of by Mr Aiden."

Kiara wanted to protest, but she decided to keep her mouth shut.

"That's all I'll be needing from the client, Mr Daniel. Kindly do not include any other things as the rest will be taken care of by me." She rose to her feet, "If there's nothing more, then I'd like to take my leave, and get myself prepared." She lowered her head as a sign of respect before heading towards the door. Kiara stepped out, and as she shut the door, she took a deep breath in and out and continued walking till she got out of the hospital.

She dialed Lisa's number as she got into the car,

"Hey Lis, can you get the kids ready? I'll be home soon." When Lisa responded, Kiara thanked her and ended the call. She ignited the engine and immediately drove out of the hospital.

________

"Mommy, are we going to live somewhere else?" Zoey questioned as they got to the airport where Kiara was meant to catch her flight. As Zoey asked such question, Kiara felt goosebumps all over her skin, but then she squatted to Zoey's level and rubbed her daughter's hair,

"Baby, it won't be for long, I promise you that, okay? Mommy has some important work to attend to, and afterward, we'll be back here."

"Promise?"

"Yes baby, I promise you," Kiara replied, bringing out her pinky finger and joining it with that of her daughter. Part of the reason Kiara wanted to go back to the blood moon pack was because of her daughter who had been seeing strange things about a year ago. With the description Zoey always gave to her, Kiara knew it was the blood moon pack. Maybe something bad was going to happen there and she could be the only one to stop it.

She kissed her daughter's forehead and rose to her feet. "Give mommy your hand baby," Kiara said, and they all continued to walk.

A few hours later, the plane landed.

Home! Kiara thought.

She took a deep breath in and out, taking Zoey's hands as they all stepped out and began to find their way. "Zane, Zion, you boys slow down, okay." She yelled, staring at her boys. It seemed the boys were happier than she thought, especially Zane.

"Lisa, could you move further so you could get us a cab?"

Lisa nodded her head and began to move forward. As she got to the roadside, she saw a black car and immediately asked the driver if he was free to take them. When he nodded his head, Lisa hurried back to where Kiara was and informed her that she had seen a cab.

"Come here, boys." She called Zion and Zane, held their hands, and began to walk with them while Kiara was with Zoey.

Kiara greeted the cab man and one by one, they all began to step into the cab and shut the door. As the car moved, Kiara made sure to look around because a lot of things had changed in the last 6 years. Maybe Scarlett was better than Luna because these were the things Kiara had always wanted to do besides Aiden 6 years ago when she was certain that she would be his mate.

She let out a sigh, telling herself that probably fate was better that way.

When Kiara fluttered her brows, it then dawned on her that the cab driver had taken another route entirely. "Excuse me, sir, this isn't where you're supposed to take. I made it clear…." Before Kiara could complete her statement, she suddenly began to feel dizzy.

"What's going on? What's the smell?" Lisa questioned weakly.

Kiara held her kids so close to herself.

"I wanna sleep, mommy," Zoey said while Zion and Zane were asleep already. Something was wrong.

"Lisa, hey…. Please stay awake, what the hell is going on here." She fluttered her brows to stare at the man who already had a nose mask on. "Where are you taking us to Mr.? Please stop!"

Kiara was suddenly starting to realize why she felt so uneasy and began regretting why she didn't listen to her instinct. The strong smell of the intoxicating substance filled the air, and it made Kiara unable to release her wolf gene as she cried for help….

In no time, her eyes began to shut, and soon, she joined them in their long nap, hoping more than anything in the world, her kids would be safe and sound.
