Chapter Nine

It took some time but soon, Aiden was stable once again. As soon as Cass stepped out of the ward, Kiara rushed towards him. "Aiden, how's Aiden?" She questioned worriedly, clutching her hands tight and trying not to go insane.

"He's stable now," Cass stated, making Kiara heaved deeply.

"What happened Cass? I mean what's happening to him? I have never seen such sickness before."

Cass was silent for a minute, then he recalled what Aiden had said to him a few minutes ago. He didn't want Kiara to know what was happening to him, and he didn't want her pity as well.

"Aiden's fine, Kiara. He had been working so hard lately and maybe the effects were very serious." Cass lied and waited for Kiara's expression, but she only nodded her head,

"Can I see him?" Kiara questioned, but he shook his head in negation, and replied,

"He's asleep now, I think he needs a lot of rest."
