Chapter Ten

Putting the last touch on her hair with a band, Kiara reached for her bag and stared at herself in the mirror. She always preferred to look very simple.

She was dressed in royal blue jeans, a black tank top, and a white pair of sneakers. Her hair was styled in a ponytail, and her face had only a little powder and some red shiny lipstick. Breathing heavily, Kiara spoke some words of encouragement to herself. She had an appointment with Aiden today, and right now, she was so nervous for no reason.

There was a gentle knock on the door before it opened.

"Ohhhh, someone's all dressed up and looking pretty. Don't tell me you're all dressed up because you're going to see the Alpha King?" Lisa questioned leaving a mischievous smile that made Kiara roll her eyes playfully,

"Stop joking around, Lisa, I'm just tryna do my work, okay? Now, I've got to go, else I'd be late."

"And someone's in a hurry."

Kiara chuckled and began to walk away, "Stop kidding girlfriend." She yelled, taking the stairs
