CHAPTER 91- JOURNEY BACK

As consciousness slowly seeps back into my mind, I found myself enveloped in a haze of confusion. I blinked, disoriented, unsure of where I was or how I had come to be here. What was going on? The last time I was awake, I was with my children and now I was in this strange place. A strange beautiful place.

Everything seemed surreal, as if I were caught in the midst of a dream from which I could not wake. I stood up to my feet and at that moment, I could feel myself float. My entire body felt not as feathery as I walked on the grass, feeling a sense of calmness in the pit of my stomach. It was almost as if I was not depressed about how my mate had died.

It almost felt like I had died because my emotions were not present. I looked around, trying to understand where I was, and then, amidst the swirling mists, I saw them. Julian and Liam stood before me, their smiles luminous and their presence a balm to my blank soul.
