Her question made him ball his fists. Exhaling softly, Nina placed her palm over his clenched fist and it automatically made him loosen up. Holding his hand with her both palms, Nina walked forward and stood in front of him. Her heart ached, seeing that blankness in his gaze which could be unreadable for any pair of eyes but not hers because she had seen him in his most vulnerable state last night and she knew how broken, afraid and hurt he was.
