Chapter 2: A Hot Mess.

(Aiva's Pov)

I frowned as I entered the Bikers' club, my workplace. It had been a year since I entered here as the manager, managing it from the tiniest details to the major issues. This work is literally my lifeline, currently. The payment is good, and so is the working hours.

"It is better to ask for an advance this month from my boss," I murmured, deciding to ask for advanced payment. The payment wouldn't be enough to pay all the debts and the fees but that's the least I can do right now. For the rest of the money, I need to think of something. I heaved a sigh, slapping my forehead in devastation.

"Hey, Aiva!" I jerked back at the sound of a cheerful voice. "What the fuck, did you just get scared? What were you so lost in?" One of the guys from the club said, laughing, as he playfully supported his arms over my shoulders.

I shook my head, turning toward him while I shook my head. "Nothing. I was just taken aback." I said, smiling when his brows crooked.

"Fuck, your eyes are red and swollen! What the heck happened?" He screamed as he placed his hand on my cheeks and I flinched back. His lips parted while he scratched his head in embarrassment, "Sorry…"

"It is nothing. Believe me. I'm okay. I am just having eye allergies." I said, giving him a smile, trying to reassure him.

"But…" he insisted, twisting his brows and reaching his hand toward me again when we were interrupted with a coughing sound.

I turned toward the direction the voice was coming from when my eyes laid on my boss.

"Dock." He called him out, putting a pleasing smile as he nodded. "What's going on here?"

"I-I will leave. I have other work to do." I said hesitantly, pointing toward the garage as I showed him the cleaning cloth when he nodded, putting his hands on his waist.

"Well, well. I also have other things to do." Dock said, turning away as we both left and chuckled in relief.

I shook my head, my eyes unconsciously turning toward him while I watched him frown.

Leo. My boss. The strictest person I had seen in my life. Also, the most handsome wolf, and the wealthiest Alpha around these regions. He is the talk of the city. Literally, he owned it. Even if I dared to mess with the Grim Reaper, the seven devils of Hell, and Hades himself, I still would not dare to mess with him. Just like his name, he is a fucking powerful and dangerous person. No one would dare to get on his bad side, not even his friends.

I sighed, shaking my head. I had rarely talked with him, or even met him even though he is my boss. But, now, I had to ask for an advance payment for him. "That is really hard." I whined, again taking a peek at him as a shiver ran down my spine while his eyes matched with mine. I turned my gaze away and hurried inside the garage while my heart continued to flutter like a raging bull. The fuck, what happened.

I took a few deep breaths, steading myself yet fear and sadness still emptied my heart.

I feared him. Yes, I feared him more than I would to anyone else. He had made me see what real fright was just when I entered here.

My lips parted as I glanced at him again from the corner of my eyes. A series of memories flashed inside my mind.

It had been just a month since I started working here, and every one of them was fun. Except for him, Leo. He was a tough nut to crack. Always cold, displeased, and silent. Yet, he was close to that boy, Ryker. He had that special ability to make anyone's heart melt with his words and actions. A typical sunshine boy.

It was just the usual day in the Bikers' Club but I ended up coming earlier than my work shift because of my college. And, that's the worst decision I made.

As I walked inside the garage, loud growls entered my ears, chilling my bones. I walked slowly and hesitantly toward the direction of the sound and I gasped at the scene. My hands were immediately at my mouth, my eyes widened as I watched Leo digging Ryker's eyes out before shooting him slowly. I was frozen in my place the entire time, unable to run away, unable to make a sound when I felt his eyes on me.

Yes, I was sure he knew I was there. But even though I ran away in fear, he never brought the topic up again. I had no idea what Ryker had done to him but I was pretty sure that it wasn't a nice thing to ask, and there was no way I could lose my job due to the debts.

I sighed while my skin crawled up. Seeing him made me recall all those unwanted memories and the fact that he knew that it was me who found out what happened.

Even though I agree he is handsome. He had dark blonde hair, sharp dark eyes, and a fucking sex god's body! But all I could see when I watched him was the blood that dripped from him when he killed Ryker.

I hitched, recalling the scene once more. Gulping, I shook these thoughts away as Leo left.

"Let's get back to work," I said, frowning as I began to clean the bikes.

It was a cleaning day, one of the hardest and time-taking tasks. So, it was almost midnight once I was finished.

"I need to go to his office," I murmured, peeking in the direction of his office. Normally, he was still here at this time but it was better to check in case he wasn't here.

I sighed, gathering up my courage as I tip-toed toward his office when soft moans entered my ears, "Aiva…" And, panic coursed inside me.

Was he doing anything funny again? Nope, this time it was different. It was as if he was having…

I gulped, backing away from the scene as I watched a she-wolf on her knees sucking Leo hard.

"Fuck, Lord! Heavens, what did I see?" I muttered as I was about to turn in when Leo's words stoned me.

"Wanna join?" His voice was the usual cold but this time it was tinted with his playfulness.

My lips widened in shock, my heart feeling heavy yet I somehow managed to turn back, and ran as fast as I could.

"Fuck it, Aiva. You always walk up at the wrong moments." I cursed, twitching my eyes, running fast as if I was running for my life.
