I call for a cab and get in the car before Ed comes back and try to stop me.

I sat in the back of the taxi, tears streaming down my face. The cab driver glanced at me in the rearview mirror, concern etched on his face.

"What's wrong?" he asked gently.

I sniffled and wiped my eyes. "Everything," I said, my voice choked with emotion. "I'm just a horrible person."

The cab driver shook his head. "No one is a horrible person," he said. "We all make mistakes. It's how we learn and grow."

I shook my head, not believing him. "You don't understand," I said. "I've hurt so many people. I don't know how to make it right."

The cab driver was silent for a moment, then he spoke again. "It's never too late to make amends," he said. "It takes courage to admit your mistakes and try to fix them. But it's worth it in the end."

I looked at him, considering his words. Maybe he was right. Maybe there was still hope for me.

The cab driver nodded and started the car, pulling away from the curb. "Where to?" he
