Prologue

“Please! Mother! ” An eight-year-old Nathan cried as he struggled against the chains that had him bound to the stone table. His eyes widened as his mother plugged the blade into his stomach, blood and tears mixing as they fell. Nathan didn't understand why his mother was doing this to him—coughing out blood as he saw his mother’s disinterested face, as she placed a curse on the child she brought into this world due to her only infidelity.

Nathan screamed as he felt like he was on fire as something part of him was being ripped away. His soul was becoming twisted and warped into something dark, something genuinely monstrous. Something that no one should become. Just before Nathan passed out due to the pain, he cursed his mother. Nathan could only blink to shake away those memories of a life that was long left dead. Looking back at his journal, It's been a while since he decided to write here, and even now, Nathan doesn't have much to say as he starts to write.

It's been ten years since my stepfather exiled me from the pack.  I was only eighteen years old at the time. When the man I thought was my father discovered the truth about my mother and his mate's infidelity. The harsh reality is that I’m not his biological son. I could remember the day when dad... No, Remus Agwang, the Alpha of The Volatile Hounds, fell into a deep rage. That scared everyone in the pack, and it scared me the most when I saw the hate and betrayal in his eyes as he looked at my mother when he found out the truth.  He disappeared for a few days, and no one knew where he had disappeared.

But when mother found out where Remus ran off to.

Only to find out that her mate, who she cheated on, had Brutally Murdered her love; she was heartbroken. But in the eyes of Remus Agwang, killing the man who slept with his mate and my biological father.  Remus doesn't care, as he is so lost in his blind rage that he massacres the man’s whole family.

Once Remus returned, he pulled me aside; I was scared that the man I thought to be my father would kill me. But to my shock, I was pulled into a hug; Remus held on to me as he cried and kept saying it wasn’t my fault; no matter what happens, I’ll be his son. that is how my life in the Volatile Hounds came to an end.

Blinking away those memories, Nathan noticed that dawn was approaching as he made his way through the silent corridors of his home. Nathan paused by a window as the beautiful morning rays shone through and warmed his pale skin. His crimson red and Amber orbs stared into the sky for a moment as he began to wonder what would happen.
