Chapter 2

Gasping for air, Lilith shot out of bed and looked around in a panic and worry. She was calming down when she noticed that she was in her room. Rubbing her head in confusion, she thought, what was that, and why do I feel so light-headed? When she heard her bedroom door Creek opened and stepped in. Cora to see if there was any change in her sister-in-law's come toad state, only for her to be in shock when she found said sister-in-law awake and looking confused.

"Oh, Cora, you're up early. I have the strangest feeling," Lilith said Midway when Cora quickly ran out of the room slamming the door and calling out for her Mate Damien well, screaming that Lilith was awake.

Lilith looked on, Confused, wondering what was going on. The confusion cleared away when her brother came. Storming into the room with the pack doctor quickly pulled her sister into a hug and told Lilith you had me so worried, I thought I lost you." Lilith was confused as she hugged her brother, who looked on the verge of tears as he held his sister close. Lilith was tired of the confusion and what was going on. So she just asked what was going on.

Cora looked at Lilith in shock. “You don't remember any of it the other night. You came home covered in mud and blood. You passed out and wouldn't wake up. You were unconscious for two days. You don't remember?" Cora asked as she looked at her sister-in-law. Lilith only shook her head, Completely confused and shocked.  When the doctor told Cora and Damien that it was strange that Lilith had blood on her clothes. Yet, there was no scratch on her body.

Lilith went into a slight panic. She remembered being hit by a car and left four Dead, chuckling nervously. Lilith told her sister-in-law not to worry.

After the entire ordeal, Lilith went to take a shower, still feeling dirty from the whole experience. Lilith looked into the mirror and said it wasn't a dream; that can't be right. If it wasn't a dream, then should I be dead ." If so, which part of it was a dream, and what was a dream? Lilith thought as she thought about those glowing crimson and Amber eyes. Only for her eyes to widen when she saw someone standing behind her. Quickly turned around in fear and saw that no one was there. Lilith looked back to the mirror and saw the person from that day standing there, and Lilith knew in her heart that it wasn't a dream. It was real.

Who… or what are you" Lilith asked as she looked at the man who saved her that day. "My name is Nathan Whitlock, and I am a hybrid or better known as the exiled Alpha." A hybrid Lilith asked, confused will. Nathan looked at her with a stoic face. He said, "the assumptions about the other day are correct, you died, but now you're being kept alive the reason why is my blood is running through your veins."

Lilith backed away in fear closing her eyes and shaking her head in denial as she opened her eyes to see that no one thought it was just a Hallucination of her exhausted mind. Lilith thought as she got ready for the day. Not wanting to go back to school and see Oscar be lovey-dovey to the pack slut. Lilith would rather dig her own eyes out with a rusty spoon than see that. With that in mind, Lilith quickly dressed for the day and headed off to school, hoping that Dmitri wouldn't scold her for running off that day.

Sadly, when Lilith got to school that day, Dimitri severely scolded her. Who was worried sick for her when Damien told him what happened and the state that she came home in. It shows that Dimitri truly cared for  Lilith and was her only friend. Lilith thought it would hurt seeing her so call Mate with the pack's slut, but to her shock, the severe pain she felt yesterday wasn't there anymore; it was.

Take the entire event of finding her Mate and being rejected never happened. Lilith was extremely grateful because she thought she would handle that pain. But that all stopped when she noticed a figure leaning against a tree just by tree lines near the school, which led to an open Forest. The list eyes widened in shock and regulation as she recognized it was Nathan  Whitlock, the man that saved her that day. The sight of Nathan was confirmed. The other day wasn't a dream. She did die. Lilith Swallowed her nervousness and made her way to Nathan, ensuring that no one noticed her leaving the school and heading toward the tree lines.

On the other hand, Nathan noticed her approaching; he sighed and looked irritated. Will Crossing, his arm,s waiting for the female he was saved The previous day to come to him on a whim. Nathan did not know why he kept her that day, but his instincts told him to save her, and his instincts were never wrong. Slightly irritated, Nathan finally waited for her to reach him and said in a monotone voice as he noticed the girl barely flinched at his dark tone, "What is the purpose of you seeking me out." Lilith nervously said in a shaking voice, "I wanted to thank you for saving me the other day. I would have died, and I left my older brother alone. Besides that, I wanted to ask why did you save me?"

"I don't need to explain my actions towards you. Just know I saved you on a whim, nothing more," said Nathan. "It's very common any decent-hearted person would be saved you that day."

Lilith was about to respond but tripped over a bag of dirt. Nathan caught her immediately. "Will you at least watch where you walk?." He sighed, clearly irritated. "I suggest you don't seek me out again unless you want to get hurt." Nathan walked off.

"What?" asked Lilith, confused as she left near the tree line. When she heard the final bell ring, Lilith jumped in shock and quickly headed back to the school, hoping she wasn't late for the next class. But still unable to get the words of the mysterious Alpha out of her mind and the thought that the Alpha would hunt her for the rest of the day.

Two days later, Lilith was washing the dirty breakfast dishes as she hummed a song that her mother used to sing. Cora and Damien were sitting at the kitchen table, smiling at Lilith, returning to her bubbly, cheerful self. "Fleur called again," said Cora. Damien chuckled, seeing his sister roll her eyes playfully.

"Well, it's your fault; you shouldn't have told her about the almost accident," said Lilith.

"Yeah," said Damien. "She does worry a lot about us."

"It can't be helped. We're the only ones she and others considered as family," said Cora. "How long before they can come home? Six to ten days?"

"More or less." Said, Lilith.

"Should we have a welcome party?" asked Cora. "They have been away from home for three months ."

"Sure, I have no doubt those four would be happy if we threw a welcome party," said Lilith as she checked her watch. "Oh cap, I'm going to be late," Lilith said as she ran out of the kitchen door.

Lichen Hills High Library-Lilith had a free period before lunch, so she decided to check out the library. Hopefully, she will be able to look up information. Werewolf bonds and soul mates; from what Demetri had told her that there is a slight chance for a werewolf to have another mate or find their second Mate if the pain of losing or being rejected doesn't kill them. From what she can tell, that bond between Oscar and herself is gone. Her inner wolf doesn't even react to Oscar kissing Brittany heck, and even her inner wolf doesn't even acknowledge him as our Mate anymore. She was pulling out a book with the tale of mate bonds and stories of the moon.

Seeing that book may have the answer, Lilith checked it out and started to read while walking back to the tree line. All living beings of mythological or alien creatures have soulmate bonds. These Bonds can show the creatures the way to true happiness or a painful way to death since soulmate bonds are a blade edge sword. A soulmate bond is the rarest bond there is. Not a lot is known about soulmate bonds due to their rarity.

However, it is said that the two halves of the whole soul will call to each other from the second they see one another. The bond will continue to strengthen whenever the pair is near one another, which the soul craves, resulting in a constant need to be near each other. The bond will be complete once the bond is consummated.

Legends say that a completed soulmate bond grants certain powers, but all information about that power may have been lost through time. Though the goblins have found a way to confirm the bond's existence after it has been completed, no one has found a way to discover their soulmate before meeting them. There have only been three recorded soulmate bonds since Lycaon's death, the son of Pelasgus and his soulmate."

Lilith continued to read as she walked past Oscar and his sluty arm candy. This caused Oscar to stare at her in shock, disbelief, and a little hurt that Lilith ignored him. This caused his inner wolf to whimper in pain and sadness as they watched helplessly as their Mate acted like they didn't exist.

Lilith had to stop reading before walking straight face-first into the door. Lilith closed the book and noticed that she mated to the front door of the school building directly in front of the tree lines leading to the forest where she saw Nathan disappear to looking back down at the book she held about soulmates bonds and what the book described and the stories told by her parents. When she met Oscar was nothing like this, so what kind of bomb did she feel when it came to the soon-to-be Alpha?

Oscar got his ass handed to him when  Damien Lilith's older brother found out what exactly he did to his little sister. Oscar still shudders at the memory of Damien sitting on the Couch, crying his eyes out as his Mate was also hugging him while crying. The pack doctor explains to them the state that Lilith was in. "What's going here," Oscar said, feeling dread climb up his spine. Hearing the voice of the one who hurt his sister, Damien’s eyes filled with hate and anger suddenly jumps up and pins Oscar against the wall by his neck.

"This is your fault. If you hadn't rejected her, then she wouldn't have been in that accident that almost cost her life," Damien said. With so much anger in his voice, Oscar can see his eyes bleed to a golden Amber showing that his inner wolf is too close to the surface.

"Let me go. I am your soon-to-be Alpha," Oscar said, trying to push him off.

"Of course, because I'm your beta, but you drove my sister away. She was the only family I had left, and you caused this to happen." Damien burst into tears at the end and slid down the wall next to Oscar. Cora ran to her Mate, pulled him into a hug, and stated in a cold voice, You should leave Oscar, or you'll be leaving more than a bruise forming on your neck; you caused enough damage to this family.  It was the last thing Oscar heard before he left the building, knowing that if he stayed, he would be beaten almost to death.
