Author’s POV

Cyrus entered inside his house looking tired to his bones.

He is returning home after two days.

Yes, he was supposed to return yesterday but everything at the branch in other office was so hectic, he couldn’t come sooner.

He hasn’t slept a wink since the time he left for his trip. Not in plane, not in his hotel room, not at all.

The work was also one of the reason behind his sleepless nights. But the main reason was his wife.

His wife who hasn’t been picking up her phone for past two days.

On that night when she called him, he was in the plane so she couldn’t reach him.

As soon as he landed, he saw her missed call and tried calling her back, even though he was supposed to be angry at her.

But her phone was switched off. He couldn’t reach her. He called Maria to ask about her but she informed him that ever since he left, she hasn’t been coming out of her room.
