The remaining journey was smooth, and within an hour, we arrived at the gates of the Riverbells pack.

It was the same front gate where I was thrown out as a rogue. The gate opened for us, and the car was driven in. I got down with Jasper in my hands and looked around.

There weren't many changes except for the flowers I was taking care of before I cut ties with the pack, which were absent from where they had always been those years. Dad knew what I went through before those flowers could spring up, and he still got rid of them.

“Things are no longer the same, Aurora,” I told myself.

There was no welcome party for me, as there has always been whenever I'm just out for a day. I've been away for five years, and everything that concerns me had been wiped out.

Tears threatened to fall from my eyes, but I forced them back. I am not in the Riverbells pack for remembrance of memories; I am here just because I want to see father one last time.
