Chapter 13 - Awakening
Unknown POV
"I know where the child is. It's only a matter of time before they shift. Once their wolf emerges, we will take them." She laughed. The thought of all the power she would gain if she successfully captured my daughter was horrifying. But I had to hope she was ready and trained well enough to see through it all and claim her rights to the throne.
"You will never win, Dela. I won't let you use my child for evil." I spit at her. She smacked my face scratching my cheek with her nails. My body has become numb to the pain I've endured throughout the years. I didn't give her the satisfaction of witnessing any reactions. Instead, I looked up at her and smiled, earning myself a punch to the stomach. She laughed as I grunted from the force of her

Chapter 14 - Lies Athens POV I was in and out of consciousness the whole walk back to the packhouse. Being with Alpha Erik made the pain tolerable. My body had already sweated out the sedative he gave me. I was coated in a thick layer of sweat, and my muscles were shaking from exhaustion. I couldn't make out anything anyone was saying. The pain demanded all my attention. Even Phoenix was having trouble snapping me out of my trance. I felt the warmth leave me and was replaced with a cold surface. My body welcomed the cold as it was overheated. It wrapped around my body like kisses from the winter skies. I was too lost to the discomfort to realize that I was now naked. The cold was slowly replaced with heat as the sheet was placed on top of me. My skin
Chapter 15 - Second Wave "Athena, wake up." I heard someone whisper into my ear. I slowly opened my eyes. A girl with a warm smile greeted me. "I'm so happy to meet you finally..." she said excitedly, her voice soft as she gently cupped my cheek with her hand. "Where am I? Who are you." I asked, dazed. Last I remembered, I was in the shifting room alone. Now I was in an empty room. With a girl I had never seen before. Her hair was long and the colour of lavender. Her skin was fair, and her eyes were as bright as the blue sky. "I've been waiting a long time to meet you. It isn't easy being locked away. Phoenix had no problem reaching you, but I couldn't break down your walls." She huffed before laughing at
Chapter 16 - Obligation Eriks POV "Tom and Greta, I need to speak to them." She whispered before passing out. Her body was covered in sweat as it gave in to the exhaustion. Most wolves passed out and slept for days after a shift. Yet, she was awake and moving around after her first shift. She was strong and resilient. She wasn't afraid to show her emotions throughout the changes. Due to her magical abilities, she shifted faster than most did too. It would normally take a day or two to switch from one form back to another completely. But, she did it in a matter of hours. She had been in here for a day and had completed both shifts. I picked her up and carried her back to her room. Placing her on the bed, I grabbed one of my shirts and slipped it over her head. Covering her up, I headed to the door, turning around to gi
Chapter 16 - The calm Athenas POV The last thing I remembered was hearing their names. After that, my brain was blank. My mind felt as though I hadn't slept in days, but my body felt fully recharged. I slowly sat up, trying to register where I was. Finally, realization flooded me the room was mine. Looking around, I could see a dark figure sitting on a chair in the corner of the room. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I could see it was Erik. His head leaned back as he snored quietly. I pushed myself off the bed heading to the bathroom. I quietly shut the door behind me. I turned and looked at myself in the mirror. I gasped in shock as I looked at myself. My skin was practically glowing, and my eyes were as bright as the moon—my scarlet hair was n
Chapter 17 - Before *Nineteen years ago* Dela's POV "What do you mean you can't find her," I yelled, rage coursing through my body. "We looked everywhere for her. We tracked her up until the edge of the forest before she disappeared." My guard's eyes were full of fear as he watched me approach him. I grabbed him by his throat, my nails piercing his skin. My lips turned up at the sight of the blood running down my fingers. My aura seeping into him, absorbing his power as my own. "What did I say would happen if you let her slip through your fingers," I whispered in his ear, my voice full of venom.
Chapter 18 - The Storm Athena's POV I rolled over to find the bed empty. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes as I took Erik's room in. The smell of campfire and chocolate and subtle mint was strong, meaning he hadn't been gone long. I got up and headed to the bathroom. After a few days of exhaustion, I finally felt rested. I turned on the shower and stepped in. I let all my stress and worries about what I was and what the dreams were washed away. After my shower, I snuck out into my room to change. "We need to find Greta and Tom. We need to know who we are." I said to Phoenix as I put on a pair of black jeans and tossed on a loose green T-shirt. "Whatever we are, we can handle this. We
Chapter 19 - Choices "You have to be faster, don't hesitate," Greta shouted before throwing another orb of energy at me. I dropped down, rolling across the mat towards her, kicking her feet out from underneath her. I stood up, making sure to stand over Greta, a smirk stretched across my face. "Fast enough for you." I huffed, just as another orb shot into my back. A stinging sensation ran up my shoulder, making me wince, as I was thrown across the room by the force of it. "Don't ever let your guard down. Being cocky when fighting will not help you. You need to predict every movement, anticipate every attack." Tom shouted; I could hear the smirk in his voice. I let out a curse as I forced myself to stand. I spun around, focusing on my energy like they ha
Chapter 20 -Good and Evil I shot up from the bed as a sharp pain consumed me. My brain wasn't able to function. All I could think about was the throbbing in my chest. I struggled to breathe. My throat felt like it was being constricted. An icy feeling shot up my back. It felt as though the glass was piercing out my back. I forced my head to turn, trying to grab hold of Erik. That's when I realized he was no longer in bed beside me. I was alone in agony and couldn't will my body to move. I tried to speak to Phoenix, but my head was empty. Without her, I couldn't link anyone. I gritted my teeth as I forced my body to move. I pushed off the bed, crumbling to the floor. I dragged my body to the bathroom and pulled myself up by the tub. After flicking the switch, I looked at myself. Beads of sweat dripped down my forehead.
