Chapter 45

Diego stood motionlessly as he stared at the grave in front of him. There hordes of people behind him but no one dared to get close to him. No one knew who it was but they all knew an important member of the Rodriguez family had died. No matter how hard they tried, the information on who had died wasn't found.

An older woman walked closer to Diego as she slowly rubbed his shoulders while Diego turned slightly and buried his head in her arms.

Whatever was happening, whatever was going to happen; they had to live first.

"He was very proud of you" she muttered quietly as Diego smiled lightly.

I know. He made that very obvious before he left" Diego replied as the woman squeezed his shoulder lightly while Diego smiled as he removed his head from her embrace and placed the woman in her arms before leading her towards the car.

"Let's go home" Diego said softly as one of the bodyguards opened the door for them and they both got into the car.
