I dropped the hair comb on the counter and stared at my reflection through the mirror. It was undeniable that I was visibly glowing after drinking Azriel's blood two days ago. I had tried to deny the fact, but there was nothing else that would explain it. What could that mean?

And I hadn't seen Azriel for the past two days. It seemed like he was deliberately avoiding me for reasons unknown to me. I needed answers. I wanted to know what drinking his blood meant. I knew my life was never going to remain the same again after crossing paths with him, and the thought scared me.

I didn't want anything that would bind me to him. My stance remained unchanged. I never wanted to be anyone's breeder, and what happened two days ago hadn't changed anything.

Giving myself one last look, I walked out of the closet in my temporary room. Much to my dismay, Azriel had gotten clothes for me, and now I had loads of outfits that I would probably never wear in "my" closet. He still didn't
