CHAPTER 30
He wasn’t sure whether his reckless plan with Shadow was a good one or not, but as he was shoved out of the room, Snarl realized it was too late to turn back. After having allowed himself to be caught on the foreign pack’s territory, he faced down against their alpha with no trouble at all. What came next, however, might prove to be twice as difficult. Struggling to remain calm as he was led out into a barren field at the edge of the estate, he tried to reach out with his mind, feeling for Hazel’s mind just as he had felt her when he realized she was somewhere around . Even as he was lashed to a post with wolfsbane-soaked rope, all he could think about was Hazel. Was she alright? Was she in as bad a state as she had been the last time he had seen her? Was she even conscious? Because he certainly couldn’t sense her right now as he faced off against the three werewolves who had been ordered to ‘test’ him. He didn’t like the thought of whatever it was they were about to do to him

CHAPTER 31
Every space of skin that touched Scar was on fire and the more Damon refused to pull away, the stronger the heat that spread between her grew. She drew in a ragged breath and bit her lip in the darkness, daring to feather her fingertips across his stomach, feeling the smooth, rippled skin. His muscles tensed and she hoped with everything she had that he was just as affected as she was—this pull, this bond was maddening. “Careful,” he growled, an arm snaking around her neck as his strong hands gripped the base of her skull and his fingers threaded in her hair. Scar closed her eyes against the sensation of it. “I am a man known for his control, but this—this is getting dangerous, anasa mou.” Those affectionate words were her undoing. She knew with every fiber of her being that they were meant for her—for only her. Just like this magnificent creature beside her. By some twist of fate, Damon Hunt was meant just for her. She was molten to the core at the thought of it. Of its own

CHAPTER 32
Scar was pretty sure it was a few hours later, judging by the window showing night outside, when she was roused from a state of semi-consciousness by the sound of muffled voices yelling above her . It was hard to make out words through the walls surrounding her, but she could recognize the voices as belonging to Shadow and Damon. She got up and climbed the stairs, pressing her ear to the locked door. “Damon , the only thing you’re accomplishing is making her love you!” “Maybe that’s true,” Damon said. “Maybe she’ll love you now, but she’ll destroy us later, when she learns the truth .” “What truth is that? That you’re always right? That the clan will never accept the marriage ?” “That she owes this pack her loyalty, and that she warming your bed every night is an abomination !” “Shadow , this is cruel!” “Any crueler than what Eve did to us? Disappearing for weeks and then turning up to ruin our clan ?” “Yes! It is crueler than that! But she got what she deserves ; she’s d

Waiting sucked. That’s all there was to it. She was glad that there was a plan in place to get Hazel out of there, but she couldn’t stand that there was nothing she could do to contribute to it. Down there she was completely cut off, with no way of knowing how things were going. She didn’t know if the plan had been put into motion yet, or how far along it might be, or if anything was going wrong. And of course, as she had pointed out, there was no end to things that could go wrong. Hell, she wouldn’t know anything until that door opened and Damon came in to whisk me away, by which point the plan would already have been completed. Or until someone else came in, like Alan or Shadow . At which point she could probably assume it had all gone to hell in a hand basket. She ended up spending several long hours doing nothing but nervously pacing. All the things she didn’t know were driving her out of my mind. Had Shadow already forced Damon to “neglect ” her? Were the Lauchair's on the w

CHAPTER 34
"Oh, hey Alan,” Scar casually said immediately they came out “Getting cold feets?” Alan asked me. “That’s okay, isn’t it?” She cautiously asked, getting the suspicion he wasn’t as keen as everyone else on her staying here. “Of course,” he said, not sounding like he completely meant it. As he looked het over, his eyes seemed to zero on her shoulder. “How’d you letting him live , he is alone right now Scar , we can end all of this ?” She looked over her shoulder again. “Bad fight, Damon is not where you think he is and dad is trying to stop me from saving him because he sent wolves after him ” she said, trying not to remember the fight that happened between her father and Alan. " how did you know and how did father know." “I’d prefer not to talk about it.” “I’m sure you wouldn’t,” he said. He seemed to study her for a moment more, while she met his gaze. She started to grow very nervous, convinced that at any moment he was going to say or do something more that she wouldn’t

CHAPTER 35
Scar threw her arm around his neck and kissed him deeply. She bent and started kissing all over his chest. She moved up and down and forward and backward and side to side, not missing an inch of his flesh. He ran his fingers through her hair, caressing her scalp, and rubbing his other hand over her back. She started to move lower, coming down to his already stiff cock, grasping it in one hand and cradling his balls with the other as her mouth wrapped hungrily around the head. She made slow, languid bobbing motions with her head, lifting her eyes to watch his expression as she did. She also kept humming softly around the stiff thing filling her mouth. “Mmm… mmm… mmm…” He continued to stroke her hair, and then rolled his head back, grunting in appreciation. Scar continued blowing him, enjoying the feel of his cock in her mouth, for as long as her pussy could stand to remain empty,. which that morning was not all that long. Pretty soon her cunt was dripping with anticipation, hungry

For the most part, it was a day like any other. She joined Beetle and some others for some breakfast. Shadow came along and started whispering very suggestive things to Damon , even going so far as to blow lightly on the back of his neck before Damon shooed him away jokingly . Everyone around had a bit of a laugh at Damon’s discomfort. After that, Scar joined Beetle for a little run and a few more friendly games with some other females . She got lunch with her, and then rejoined Damon later in the afternoon. Everything seemed to be fine. And then, around the early evening, they heard the howl. Any wolf would recognize it. It was a howl of distress, calling for help. As everyone turned in its direction, about a dozen members of the pack immediately started running for the tree line, stripping their clothes off and shifting to their four-legged forms. Impulsively, Scar started going with them, and she heard Damon following close behind. They reached a clearing in the middle of the

Scar blinked her eyes open and got back down on her feet, frowning slightly. “Um, it's fine .” “Come on, Scar,” Damon said, taking her by the arm. “If we’re going to do this, we ought to get going. We need to decide what we’re going to say.” Damon and Scar spent the better part of an hour discussing how they were going to approach this, never quite coming up with any one perfect plan that they were completely happy with. It was getting full on dark by the time they finally decided the only thing to do was to go there and just make the best of it. Once we’d made that decision, Scar slumped her shoulders with a sigh and accepted it, absently turning her head to look around. And in so doing, She happened to notice a small circle of pack members gather around, whispering conspiratorially amongst each other. She couldn’t hear what they were talking about, but by the looks on their faces and the way they kept looking toward the woods in the direction that the rebel village lay, she got

“You’re a Scanthin Scar?” She lifted her head from Damon’s chest to look at Alan. “I told you to give me space ! I didn’t want you starting a war !” A hand grabbed her by the shoulder and jerked her around, bringing her face to raging, venomous face with her dad. “Tell me this isn’t true!” he demanded, practically foaming at the mouth. “We’ve been worried sick about you all this time, and this is where you draw the line ? With them? Letting this… Lauchair's filth violate you?” A lot of angry grumbles and curses started coming from all directions, and she heard the word “traitor” flung by a few of them. She ignored all the barbs, and focused on her father. “At least he respects me and what I want, which is more than I can say for you, Dad.” Alexander’s eyes went wild and his nostrils flared, and he raised his hand up to bring it down hard across my face. Alan stepped in, catching his arm by the wrist before his hand could touch Scar . He looked her over disapprovingly, and the

“I’m sorry, Damon . Even if she really means us no harm, the rest of her pack, who knows she’s been here now, certainly does. They’ll use her against us.” “Shadow you should know I will not pick from your options !” Damon whimpered. “And how long do you think this pack will accept her?” Shadow said. “Knowing she’s a witch , who’s to say they won’t butcher her in her sleep?” “I am !” Damon insisted. "I am the alpha! I can forbid anyone from touching her!” Shadow sighed. “Damon , you have a big heart. And I’m proud of that. But a witch can never be welcome among us.” Scar's head hung in dismay. “We could have run away together,” she told them. “We were tempted to do that, even. To get away from all the fighting, the hate, the anger… but we came back. We wanted to put an end to this feud, before anyone else either of us cared about got hurt, or worse.” “Big dreams,” one of the pack named Cole said. “It’s easier said than done. There’s no making peace with a pack of killers and
