CHAPTER 31 Who Cares?
Daemon's POV I stomped back and forth against the floor of my office, waiting for Sam to arrive. I can feel the rage rising with each step, no matter what I do... I just can't settle. Not long there was a squeaking sound from the door, accompanied by a familiar face, Sam. He slowly walked up to me and dropped the files he was holding on top of the table. "What was that?" I demanded amidst my anger. "The rumor is everywhere, the Luna of the Blackwood Pack is not mentally okay," he replied, "I think that you have to take a look," he pointed at those files. Glancing at the files, I sighed and turned to him, "I have already heard of that and that's why I sent for you," "Heard of that... how but I am just getting to tell you now," he sounds confused. "Well, everything that I needed to know has been delivered to me," taking around my table, I turned my chair and sat down. "What are you talking about?" Sam slowly pulled out his chair and sat down. "I have an insider ther

CHAPTER 32 Let Me Go
Rhea's POV "I have to put an end to this," I instantly stood up from the bed, this is my image that Kian is crushing. Not minding how I was looking, I pushed Lila and Mercy out of my way and left my room. Heading toward his office. Without much of a cordial knock at the door, I barged into his office. His cold eye slowly pulled out from the two warriors standing beside him and fell directly at me. The two warriors quickly lowered their heads submissively, but my eyes were cold, filled with pain and hurt to even acknowledge their greeting. "Leave us," in his cold voice, the two warriors scurried out of the office, leaving only the two of us. "Why are you here?" His face colored in disgust, I almost flinched at his loud voice but I maintained my stand. "Have you not asked yourself what damage this rumor might cause?" I questioned when staring back at him. "I have warned you never to enter my office or stay anywhere around me except doing events or any public gathering," h

CHAPTER 33 Leave Us
Rhea's POV After up to seven hours of traveling in silence, we finally arrived in Thorn pack. As soon as the car stopped, Mercy and I got off before our eyes widened in shock. "OMG! This is just like a paradise," I held her lips, stopping her from screaming. "This place really looks amazing, and more than fantastic..." we both nodded thoughtfully. This pack is unbelievable, since I was a toddler till now I have always heard about the mighty pack but today is the first time that I am stepping foot inside here. Everywhere screams luxury and seems breathtaking. Mercy and I were staring like lost puppies till we heard a chuckle from behind. I swiveled my head in that direction and was met by an unfamiliar male face. "Hello, Luna Rhea, pardon my manners for keeping you out here for too long," he bowed his head respectfully with a lingering smile on his lips. I can't lie but this man standing in front of me is damn handsome but so bad it can't be compared to that of Daemon.

CHAPTER 34 What Just Happened?
Rhea's POV The atmosphere suddenly becomes uncomfortable, and the slamming of the door against its hinges pulls back my mind to reality. I am trapped alone here with this greek god in front of me, I fell into his eyes. They were fine hazel-black pairs, there was something in those gazes more like a magnet. Snapping my gaze off him, I cleared my throat, "Am sorry, my king but you just sent my beta out from your office," I said, fighting hard not to stare into those eyes of his. Giving me a long stare, he let out a huff, "That's not your beta or did you suddenly turn your personal servant into your beta under a night?" I held onto his stare briefly, I don't know why I still find this man here attractive when I already have a mate and husband in my life. Strangely, it feels so nice sitting in front of him, my body craves for him. The intensity in his eyes burning me, unusually I feel drawn to him which causes me to instantly look away. "Sorry but since my beta is busy at t

CHAPTER 35 True Mate
Rhea's POV If I have ever been confused in life then I might be lying because right now nothing seemed to be making sense to me. I stood in front of my window looking outside the cloud, the bulb casting a dim light on the room. Throughout our journey from Thorn pack back to here has been one silence of a thing. My mind was in chaos that I didn't even know when we arrived. "Mine," Daemon's words replaying back in my mind, he keeps addressing me as his at any slightest opportunity that he gets which is strange, knowing fully well that I am a married woman with a mate. Letting out a huff, I blew off the strand of my hair that was almost covering my eye away from my face. I leaned into my window flame, my gaze fixed on the sky. I wished that I could find answers to my confusion in the windy clouds. I haven't seen Kian since I arrived though I was informed that he went for Luna's coronation to one of the packs that we are allying with, with no other but Lila as his plus two toni

CHAPTER 36 Let's Get Over It
Daemon's POV My eyes turned hazy, I was been mind link by my beta, Sam. I sat on the stool beside my bed with a glass of wine swirling around my hand. My head hurts, I still can't get her image off my mind. Is hard to resist my beast from claiming her right away. "What?!" I grunted in my usual deep and cold voice, unable to hide my frustration and rage at bay. Does he always have to disturb me? "Where are you? I have been searching everywhere for you and I noticed that you weren't at your office, strange," he spoke with a quick breath. I furrowed my eyebrow, confused, "Why?" "I thought that you were supposed to be at Luna's coronation with the other pack Alphas... What's the name again?" I sighed at the last statement. "Mtcheww," he hissed, taking me by surprise, "Please where are you?" He replied in haste, and before I knew it. My room door was pulled open, revealing Sam. "Hmm," he smiled, a victorious smirk playing on his lips like he just won a marathon. "Here you

CHAPTER 37 Dying
Rhea's POV It wasn't that long before Mercy left my room and I was engrossed in my thoughts when I instantly felt a sharp pain around my gut. I gasped and grabbed the duvet tight and after a moment it stopped. I shrugged and shoved it away, maybe it was one of those random cramps. I sighed and turned to the other side of the bed to have my drink, still holding the glass tumbler in my right hand. When it hit me again, harder and sharper but this time in my chest and around my stomach. I screamed, the glass slipping out from my hold and pieces on the floor. What is happening to me? What is going on? And just like before, the pain eases off. I breathed out and shook my head, I don't think that I have to worry about the pain. I am sure that it is one of those random cramps that happen when not having enough rest or surely, maybe due to overthinking. I think that I need to rest and relax for a moment. I was covering myself with the duvet when it all started again. I have never fel

CHAPTER 38 The Worst Humiliation
Rhea's POV I woke up with an aching groin, fuck... My whole body still hurts especially my head. I think that I might have a margarine not after experiencing a pain that hurts more than death itself. I feel so sick and disoriented. I noticed that I can't seem to move my body, I am just facing upward. Using minutes to figure out how I might have arrived here and that's when the image of Mercy rushing into my room when I was almost losing consciousness slipped into my mind. A wave of anger suddenly flowed through me, she wasn't supposed to see me at my worst. Now I feel humiliated and worthless. Slowly swirling my head around, I glanced around the room. On my left, a computer was stationed beside me monitoring my heartbeat and blood pressure. I noticed something on my hand, looking down I noticed a cuff that was tightened around my arms for taking readings. On my right-hand side is a plastic clamp placed over my finger, and an intravenous tube fixed on my upper left arm where the

CHAPTER 39 Everything Hurts
Rhea's POV "You know I have thought how bad it is that my dear wife doesn't know what it feels like to have sex," he paused with a nasty smile. "And I will be a bad person if I keep ignoring her desires," "What nonsense are you talking about?" I am scared of the next word that he was going to say, he seemed to have evil plans not after having Fiona, Lila, and some young other girls all dressed in lingerie. My heart was racing fast. "I noticed that slapping and torturing you now has no effect on you and I decided that a little play tonight won't hurt, right dear wife," he finishes the last statement with a wicked smile. My heart is going up and down in panic but I refuse to show my emotions. "I have decided that tonight you will be a voyeurist," I felt my heart ripped apart at his word, what is he talking about? "A voyeurism," I unbelievably repeat. "Yes, you heard me, right," he spoke to me directly, not even caring to hide his remark since people are in here. Don't do

CHAPTER 40 None of My Business
Rhea's POV It has been a few weeks after the dreadful night, though it is hard but I have decided to focus on the pack affairs and pull my mind from anything that has to do with Kian and his mistresses. I can not keep hoping for a man whose is neck bent in seeing me in pain and agony to change. I stood beside my office window looking down at the pack members walking around and going to their respective places. Knock. Knock "Come in," I promptly announced after the third knock. The door was pushed open and Lila walked in with files in her hands. "Here," I heard the files roughly placed on top of my desk. Shutting my eyes, I inhaled sharply. "Have you suddenly gone mute that you no longer greet your Luna?"   I felt a sudden silence at the other end, turning around and my gaze fell on her. My eyes were frosty, hard, and filled with coldness but still, I maintained a nonchalant expression. "I asked a question that demands an answer,"   "Hmm..." she smiled, "Is not my faul
