Chapter Twenty One: Help!!!
Antoine's POV I was standing there, smiling and looking up at my father's face. My stepmother was also at a corner smiling and shouting out her encouragement to me. I was proudly showing off my combat skills to both of them. "Turn to your wolf form and show me that you're my true son, the future alpha of the dark moon pack!" He challenged me, still smiling. "Bring it on Antoine! Prove it to your father!" Mother shouted. I accepted my father's challenge, and trained my mind to transform. Within minutes, I had turned and was now standing on all fours. There were shouts of joy and surprises everywhere. The pack members started hailing me, some singing songs of praise. There was jubilation everywhere. Everyone seemed to be happy, chatting away happily with one another. Then suddenly, a voice shouted in a loud piercing sound. Everyone heard it. I turned back to my human form immediately. We all turned in the direction of the voice. And then, I saw my father, my own father, blood!

Chapter Twenty Two: Busted Again
Stacie's POV Oh my God! I'm so busted. The flashlight shone brightly on my face, penetrating their piercing hands into my eyes. My eyes burned from the effect of the light, making me feel slightly dizzy. I used my two hands to shield my eyes from the light. The person moved closer, still asking; "Who is there?" "It's me, Stacie." I quickly answered, mentally praying that the person was someone who knew me or who knew about me. The person reached where I was, and pointed his torch directly into my eyes. "Oh! It's you" he said. I felt relief wash through me. At least, he knows me. So rest assured, the person wouldn't hurt me. "Now that you know it's me, could you take your torch away from my face, please? You're hurting my eyes." "Sure!" He put off his torch, went towards the wall, and flicked the lights on. And I could see his face. It was the driver that brought me here on the first day. No wonder, I thought his voice sounded familiar. "What are you doing here?" He a

Chapter Twenty-Three: Not a Chance
Antoine's POV I got to the armory house and saw that the front door was ajar. Probably, Damien was there to practice again. As I entered, I could hear two people speaking in a hushed tone. One of the voices sounded feminine. "What the fuck is a girl doing in the armory room" I muttered to myself, as I walked quietly in the direction of the voice. If it was actually a girl in there, that would definitely mean trouble for them. It was against the pack rules and regulations that a girl be allowed into the armory room. "Or could they perhaps be having sex?" Elda suggested in my head. I shook my head. No! That's not possible. It's just too gross. Damien wouldn't do such a thing. The sound grew louder as I got closer and it sounded more like Elda had suggested. Right? Maybe it was possible. I wasn't even sure anymore. What if he actually brought a slave in here to fuck. I shook my head again. No, it can't be. They would be screaming by now if that was the case. Damien was especial

Chapter Twenty-Four: A Question at a Time
Stacie's POV I'm in so much shock right now. Why was Antoine acting so nice now and confusing me the more? I had been expecting to be scolded by him or maybe he would even give me physical punishments. This side of him is entirely different and kind of scary. I felt more comfortable with his rude and annoying side. How could he just forgive me for trespassing, because I basically trespassed on their armory room? And he still give me what I was trying to take. He even scolded Carson on my behalf. Someone tapped me gently on my shoulders. It was Carson. The bastard! I shot him an angry look, and he grinned. "Stupid!" I thought. How could he be so petty? He couldn't even defend me the other time. I walked up to Antoine wanting to say a 'thank you' to him. But the words stuck in my throat. I never knew trying to say thank you to someone could be as hard as this. Suddenly, I started feeling very dizzy, and a sharp pain shot through my head. I quickly muffled something that sounded l

Chapter Twenty-Five: What's The Problem?
Antoine’s POV The sunlight streaked into the armory room. It was morning and everywhere was already bright. I was feeling so exhausted. I had asked Carson to stay with me and have a duel, in which I beat him to a stupor. He had to stagger out when he was leaving. I knew he loves it that way though. He always enjoys our duel. To him, my hurting him is like giving him more training. He is a very good fighter, especially good at calculating movements. He had put up a very good stance against me, which should have been a draw or thereabout, between me and him on a normal day. Just that I had been so distracted that I didn't even know I was wounding him, hitting him and even tearing up his flesh, which had put him in a very bad position of even fighting back. Stacie's face kept popping up into my head, my mind. She had that arrogant scowl on her face. I don't know why, but I was regretting my actions right now. I shouldn't have given her the dumbbells just like that, without even

Chapter Twenty-Six: That Bastard!
Stacie's POV I woke up on my bed, feeling very weak and exhausted. I was feeling a very severe ache in my head. Wait a minute. How am I in my bed? That's surprising though. How did I get here? Last I could remember, I was on the field, training. Then I had some visions. Then after the visions, I still went ahead and trained a little more, lifting the dumbells. I had felt the bones and muscles in my arms twisting and contracting against each other. The process had been painfully sweet. But I hadn't stopped lifting. Maybe I had felt sleepy, and dizzy at some point but I hadn't stopped training. How then did I get inside my room? I can't seem to remember. It was as if my memory has been erased. Possibly, someone must have brought me here. Maybe I fainted while training and hit my head on something, maybe that's why I couldn't remember. Or maybe I had been too exhausted after training and hadn't noticed because I hadn't felt it when I walked down to the slaves' quarters, and into m

Chapter Twenty-Seven: A Myth?
Damien's POV I had just woken up from sleep to go and take my bath, when a loud voice called my name from outside, banging heavily on the door. I opened the door and saw no one. I cautiously moved out to the porch, then outside. A few minutes later, I heard some heavy thudding of feet, but I couldn't see anyone. Then I looked closely and saw that there was chaos in the main pack house and everyone was running around crazily in different directions. I moved closer to inspect what was happening and ask some of them questions. When I got closer, I realized that there was noise coming from different directions and people were running helter-skelter not knowing where they were going. I stopped some people to ask them what was happening, but none of them waited to even answer me. I looked around, but couldn't see anything chasing them. I looked deep into the woods, I still didn't see anything. "So what could be causing all the chaos and uproar in the pack house?" I wondered "Was th

Chapter Twenty-Eight: Bloodshed!
Damien's POV An aggressive and savage wind began to blow. The trees bent under the fierce wind, and the leaves were rustling, giving off an eerie feeling. I had an ominous hunch that something very bad was going to happen today. Bloodshed! I didn't see Antoine but I knew he was close to me. And I could feel the demon wolves close too. They had come out of their hiding, just that I couldn't see them, but I could smell them. I smelt about thirty of them around me. They would be more than that because the ferocious wind blowing was carrying away some of their scents. The wind became so harsh and I knew we would not last in this human form as the abrasive winds scoured my exposed flesh, which my clothes were not covering. As if reading my mind, Antoine mind linked me. "Shift into your wolf form immediately" he commanded. I did so immediately. Then suddenly, there was a thunderclap, followed by a flash of lightning that began to suck the darkness away, slowly. I could see Antoine,

Chapter Twenty-Nine: Go To Hell!
Antoine's POV Holy shit! These mother-fucking demon wolves aren't dying. "Are they immortal or what?" I wondered. The leader of the demon wolf pack laughed uncontrollably. "So you think you can actually kill us so easily?" "That can only happen in your dream" He scoffed, as he shifted into his wolf form, looking so huge even than the first one that shifted earlier. He scanned the body of his dead pack members again. "First, you must suffer for killing some members of my pack" He beckoned and signaled to his pack members to shift into their wolf form, and they did so almost immediately. I was already in my wolf form, so I signaled to my pack warriors to quickly shift to their wolf forms, which they did with breaking of bones sounds everywhere. "Go to hell!" He shouted as he took a menacing step toward me. I braced myself, standing ready, as if I thought he was going to knock me down with his huge body. But surprisingly enough, he ran past me, his pack members running closely

Chapter Thirty: Code Three
Antoine's POV "Stand down!" I shouted to my pack warriors. They started retreating, still in their wolf form. "Code three! Code three!" I repeated, raising three fingers up. Maybe it was the panic and fear in them or the fire that was burning them on their furs, I don't know. But they didn't seem to understand what I was saying, or perhaps, they weren't even listening to me at all. "Dark moon pack warriors!" I shouted at the highest my voice could go. And that got their attention. They stopped running. "Shift into your human form immediately!" I commanded, breaking down the pack's code. With snapping and breaking of bones, groaning, and shouts of pain, all of them shifted at once. In our wolf form, we're much stronger than when in human form, but the only problem was fire. Our furs catch fire very fast, and the fire quickly spreads to the entire body, burning the skin and making us jerk around senselessly, then drop dead. I knew those that already had their furs on fire were n
