Adam watches the shock and the confused frown mar her beautiful features. She leans back away from him and his arm drops to the couch so he moves it to his lap.   “You have a daughter?”   “Had.” Adam corrects. “Well, was going to have. She never got the chance to be born.”   “Oh, Adam..”
