Chapter 22-Perry needs a father

Natasha's POV

These days have been nerve-wracking for me.

The courage that surged within me when Jaclyn Dills coldly declared his intentions and left drained away halfway. In the following days, my fear only grew.

If I didn't understand Jaclyn Dills, maybe a moment of courage could be excused. However, having loved him for so long, I deeply know that he is not a forgiving person.

Beneath his elegant exterior lies a heart that is the most indifferent and worldly.

These days, his good mood is probably due to Perry's presence. Jaclyn Dills may be cold, but he cares a lot about family and children.

Perry shares his blood, his flesh, his own daughter. I, on the other hand, am just an outsider with a different last name.

I find myself unexpectedly envious of our daughter. Watching them, father and daughter, in the hospital from being strangers to becoming familiar and warm with each passing day, the innate connection of blood makes me feel somewhat redundant for the first time.
