Chapter 24-Return to red moon pack

Annelie's POV

When I came back in the evening, Perry was already asleep.

I didn't see Natash·Yael in the living room, so I pushed open the bedroom door. The cold hit me as I walked in.

No lights were on in the bedroom, but it wasn't too dark. The heavy outer curtains were left open, and the window was wide open, allowing the northern wind, mixed with dry cold air, to sweep in.

It lifted the sheer purple curtains at the window, creating a chilly atmosphere.

Sitting on the windowsill, Natash·Yael huddled up, legs pulled close to her body. Her black hair fell like a curtain, hiding her face.

In the chilly air, she seemed frozen, like a statue, radiating a loneliness that couldn't help but evoke pity.

There was a faint smell of smoke in the room. Natash·Yael smoked, a fact known to very few.

The first time I saw her smoke, I was genuinely surprised.
