The house was full of wolves with injuries; the iron smell of blood filled my nose as I saw wolf after wolf to assess and put whatever ointment I could find on them to help the healing go faster. I was about to head to Kamari’s room when I felt a tremor through the house. I paused, looking up at the creaking ceiling with dust floating down. I stood still for a moment, assessing, that tremor felt different than the ones these past few days. I perked my ears, straining to hear anything unusual. After a minute, I thought it was just another of the house’s spells and began walking up the stairs. I was about halfway up the stairs when the hairs on my neck rose.

Something is wrong, very wrong. I ran back down the stairs and looked out the door. Genuine fear I hadn’t felt in ages crept up my spine at what I saw. The Raven witches walked toward the barrier, holding the wolves in a containment spell. It wasn’t just the Phantom Moon wolves either,
