Hera bounced the crying baby off her hip. "I honestly thought the only time I'd be going through this was when you and the Alpha decided to have children of your own," she said causing my heart to shrivel.
That conversation about our relationship still hurt whenever I thought about it. I predict we would have children in the next twenty years with how Creed behaved around me.
He chose not to be left alone with me. So I doubt Hera's dreams about a little one of our own would come true any time soon. Since Creed couldn't look at me let alone touch me.

I panted as I tried to keep up with Hera. We were running along a trail in the forest. It was a part of my training to strengthen my core. According to the other wolves, if I exercised regularly and stretched the shift wouldn't be that hard on my body. A week had passed with everyone falling into a comfortable routine. I sat outside with May and Mia while I watched them play peekaboo. He killed them all. It was never in his nature to take any prisoners. He thought nothing of it as he ran his blade across the necks of the young and old. It was unusually quiet at the diner due to the relentless storm that raged on outside.
