Storm

"There's a hotel close by for you to change your clothes. You will catch a cold if you continue wearing them,” Killian said, his tone not changing. He didn't seem affected by my earlier accusation.

When I realized that he just wanted me to get out of my wet clothes, my cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

I remain quiet for the rest of the ride, too embarrassed to say anything else.

The driver kept glancing at us occasionally. I turned to look at Killian to find his face expressionless, his eyes were glossed over and didn't seem to focus on anything.

I slowly brought up my hands, waving them a distance away from his face.

“I might be blind but I can still feel,” Killian said coldly and I immediately pulled my arm down.

"Don't you believe that I'm blind?” He asked and I immediately shook my head.

"N-no, nothing like that,” I brought my hands in front of me in a defensive manner as he could see me.

I thought I saw a smile on his face but it was gone immediately it came.

"Why do you want to get married to a blind man? What benefit would it give you?” Killian asked suddenly, the car pulling up in front of the hotel.

" That isn't something you should worry yourself about,” I answer without skipping a beat.

It was still raining heavily and I was unsure of what to do.

The driver immediately steps out with an umbrella helping me out.

I took the umbrella and ran to the entrance, standing under a shed.

I waited for Killian to step out too but when I saw his driver help him out of his seat and into his wheelchair, my heart sank.

I heard forgotten that he was crippled too.

I watch with a pained look as he is wheeled towards me, the umbrella over his head.

I took the wheelchair from the driver and pushed him into the hotel.

“Reserve a room for us," He ordered his driver who immediately complied.

I stared at Killian confused, how did he get money for the room if he's broke?

We were currently in a five-star hotel, wouldn't a room cost much?

I was just about to protest when Killian raised his hand, cutting me off.

“Don't worry about the cost,” He said and I closed my mouth.

I still found it strange but I decided to do as he said.

Soon his driver returns and takes Killian's wheelchair off my hands, pushing him towards the elevator.

I quietly followed behind them, ignoring the stares I was getting from people because of my dripping clothes.

“Get her something to change to," Killian orders once more once we get to the hotel room.

I immediately go into the bathroom, peeling my clothes off my body.

I was soaked entirely and my teeth were already chattering.

Killian had suggested I take a hot bath while I waited for the clothes to arrive and I decided to take his suggestion.

I poked my head out of the bathroom to find Killian sitting with his back to the bathroom.

He was crippled and blind, I had nothing to worry about.

I don't know why but it seemed as if I trusted him a bit. Maybe it was because we were both alike.

I soaked in the bathtub until the water got cold then I dried myself.

When I got out there were clothes folded on the bed.

Killian was still in the position I saw him in earlier. I wonder how hard it was for him to be blind and crippled, unable to do anything.

I dressed up with the clothes left for me, they were a size too big but I didn't mind.

“Are you done?" Killian asked and I looked up at him.

I finally noticed the mirror right in front of him with me standing at his back and I gasped lightly.

I had dropped my towel just now before I dressed, I looked at Killian and he didn't seem to be focused on anything.

Even though he was blind, I still felt embarrassed.

“Yes, I'm done,” I answered, trying to control my emotions.

Killian turned his chair around and wheeled it closer to me.

“The storm has no plans of clearing anytime soon, help me to the bed,” He asked and my brows furrowed in confusion.

"What about the car? We could still–" I start to say but I am cut short by his cold voice.

“The car got sent away,”

Left with no choice, I helped Killian to the bed. After I had tucked him in carefully, removing his shoes as well, I lay on the couch with the duvet. Shortly after I give in to sleep, holding the duvet tightly around my body.

I feel arms wrapped around me and I open my eyes, finding myself on the bed with Killian.

When did I get here?

I looked at my legs that were entwined with Killian's and my cheek hit up.

“Did you carry me here?" I asked Killian when I noticed that he was awake.

"You came here yourself,” Killian answered, his voice deep showing that he just woke up.

I felt something hard pressing onto my back and I stiffened, praying that it was his leg pressed against me.

"it's still early, go back to sleep if you want to,”

Still feeling drowsy, I was just about to go back to sleep when I remembered that I hadn't called home.

I instantly push up from the bed, reaching for my phone on the table.

I frowned when my phone didn't turn on.

It seemed that my phone was bad and I didn't have the money to get a new one.

“What's wrong?" Killian asked and I shook my head.

“It's nothing, I should be on my way home. Thank you,” I said to him, getting up from the bed.

The sooner I get home, the better it would be.

Killian suggested to drop me off at home and I accepted.

Weighing the fastest method to get home, and safer too, Killian was the best.

The moment we got to our gate, I rushed out of the car, running towards the door.

I had just stepped into the house when I was stopped by my father's cold voice.

“Where are you coming from?" He asked me, I was about to explain when his palms made contact with my face, turning it to the side.

“How dare you sleep with a man all night."
