Fred dashed out of the room saying he had some place to go. I had to settle in before he came back and packed my things to the place where he has instructed me to keep them. This gave me sometime to familiar with the environment before he returned.

The way Fred disrespected me because of money was annoying but what more could I have done. I needed the money and if this is the price I have to pay then it was fine, besides it will all be over soon.

I picked my phone as it beeped, I hoped somehow it was George coming at me for some explanation but it was not. It was my nightmare, Fred messaging to tell me he was not returning that day.

" I would not be returning, Adhere to the instructions I gave you" I read Fred's message out loud and wondered if he would ever treat me with respect but consoled myself it was for the time being.

" Like I care, if you do not return" I yelled at my phone sighing at the sight of the message and checked through my phone if George messaged or something but he had not. A thought flashed through my mind as I dropped my phone and moved on to attend to other things.

" Did I really cared if he did not returned." I questioned myself and realized that I did because who was going to pay me if he did not come back home."

" I wish he returns safe and sound." I said finally. I stared at myself not believing that I just hoped and wished he returned home.

" It's all for the money." I told myself and I headed for the bathroom after undressing. I needed to freshen up. I washed up hurrily and wore my night dress as I returned to the room.

" It had been a long day." I said myself admiring myself in the mirror as I left and headed for the bed. The very same I was instructed not to go close too.

"He is not returning today. I might as well just rest a bit here. Besides why did he expect me to sleep." I kept reassuring myself as I slept on the bed.

I was going to arranged everything before he returned, he would not find out about anything.

Thoughts of what had transpired at the party came flashing in my mind as I laid down. I decided to message George for an explanation at the very least.

"Hello, George" I messaged him not expecting a reply but hoped on getting one.

"Hi babe, how are you" He messaged right back. It seemed he had been waiting for my message

Surprised as I was, I stared at my phone trying to figure out George plan. He replied so fast like there was nothing. I wondered why

" I am good, George I wanted us to talk about something." I message immediately not wanting my courage to fail me yet again.

" Oh ok. But before that I wanted to tell you something first."

" Alright then." I messaged with my heart racing as I thought he wanted to ask about earlier. I stirred on my bed waiting anxiously as I dropped my phone.

My heart raced in hearing my phone peeped. I did not want to open the message as I thought it was about what had happened earlier.

I was scared but decided to pick up the courage to do so.

"I love you so much and I will always do, you are the best part of me and I hope we do forever together." I read the message out loud as I picked my phone.

"Why is hesaying all of this when he just saw me at my engagement with his brother." To worsen it he sent a love emoji and a heart between two lovers. I asked myself staring at my phone.

I was expecting a reaction to what had happened and here is was acting all lovey dovey. I was perplexed wondering what to do as I stared at the message.

"You wanted to tell me something too. What is it about?" His message beeped on my phone yet again, I had lost the enthusiasm to talk about anything especially about the fact that I was engaged to another man."

"It is nothing" I managed to send a reply still puzzled about what to do

"It is alright, have a lovely night rest. I hope to see you soon babe, I love you very much." His message dropped yet again on my phone.

" Is he really serious about this?" I asked myself wondering what game George was playing, he was acting indifferent like he did not just attend my engagement party. I was so worried and confused about what to do as I laid on my bed not able to sleep.
