"Alice, wait! Wait, please!" Juan called out, running after her twin sister who was striding ahead, her expression filled with anger. They found themselves in a secluded part of the woods, where only the chirping of birds could be heard."Could you just pause for a moment and let me explain? Please, hear me out!" Juan pleaded as Alice showed no sign of stopping. However, at the sound of her words, Alice stopped abruptly and turned towards her, her face displaying a stern expression."What exactly do you want to explain? explain to me that you've been keeping a beast under our roof? Is that it?" Her voice was raised, her anger palpable as she pointed accusingly at Juan.Juan found herself at a loss for words, swallowing nervously, unsure of how to respond. "But... that's not what matters right now!" Juan replied, his words slightly stuttered."Oh, so that's not what matters? Then, what matters?" She questioned loudly, her impatience clear as Juan hesitated to speak up immediately. Frust
"Please, say something... Are you upset with me too?" Juan asked, attempting to fix his hair. He was met with a piercing stare that sent a shiver down her spine, prompting her to move away slightly. It seemed as though the monster spirit still lingered within him, but then he closed his eyes and returned to his normal state, casting a gentle gaze at Juan, who breathed a sigh of relief. "What do you want me to say...? You always try to control me, wanting me to do everything your way," Aaron then responded to her with a disapproving look on his face. Upon hearing his words, Juan cautiously approached him, swallowing nervously. "Aaron, are you blaming me for my sister's behavior?" she asked, pointing at herself. "And whose fault was it then!? who should I blame?" Aaron retorted, his eyes wide with anger, leaving her startled. It was clear that Aaron was visibly upset and frustrated. "I don't understand why everyone is angry with me," Juan replied, a look of sorrow on her face. She w
•Later That Night• The beautiful moon was shining so brightly on the elegant duplex, which was located solitarily at the heart of the woods. It's a very beautiful house, but it's not that solitary because there are still some houses that could be found just a few steps away from the house. However, the specialty was deeper in the forest, with many beautiful vegetation around it, all smiling under the moon. Alice was inside her room in that house, holding her books in her hand, trying to grasp one or two things from it in order to face tomorrow's school project based on debate. But what happened earlier was really a distraction to her, as her mind kept reflecting on it. She couldn't just get it off her mind even though she was trying. So she ended up setting the book aside out of frustration, took a deep breath, and then a knock sounded on her door. She could think of no one except Juan; she knew Aaron wouldn't dare knock on her door, not even now that the pressure was higher. She
•The GardNers Highschool• The fenced high school was really beautiful, containing many buildings inside the compound. One of the houses, which was the highest of them all, had bold writing on top of the building. "The Gardener's High School" was the phrase written on it, in gold color and very bold. The gold color glittered brightly as it reflects the sun rays. The environment of the school compound was also very neat, well-decorated with flowers. In the center of the school compound, there was a beautiful small round garden that contained apple trees and other food crops. However, there was a massive population of students entering the compound, and Aaron was among them. He headed straight to his classroom, where he sat down gently and started revising his books. He was actually one of the debaters but he wasn't prepared, which is why he was quickly reviewing the script he was given. He had little time left because the debate was the next day. Although, he couldn't concentrate mu
•Juan's Home• After school, Aaron went home without hesitation. He was really worried to know the reason why Juan didn't come to school. Upon reaching the house, it was so quiet. It seemed like Juan and Alice were inside. He tried to open the door and enter but hesitated, withdrawing himself, and ended up knocking on the door gently. Receiving no response, he decided to knock a little harder again but still got no reply. He then took a deep breath and slowly pushed the door open. Upon entering the house, he discovered that no one was in the parlor, and it still looked somewhat disorganized. "Juan, are you home?" he called out with a soft voice, but no one answered. Everywhere was still quiet, so he headed straight to Juan's room. He didn't find Juan there. He then checked Alice's room, but no one was there either. "Anybody home? Juan? Alice?" he started calling out with a louder voice and searched all around the house but couldn't find either of them. His worry intensified as h
•Somewhere At The Highway• • • Aaron's car slowly pulled up beside the highway and parked by the road. This highway was where Lucy had directed him; it was the exact spot where she had picked up Juan. Upon arriving at the highway, Aaron gently brought his car to a stop and scanned the surroundings. The highway was lined with woods on both sides, and there was no sign of any other cars passing by, as it was already late at night. The only sounds breaking the silenced night were the eerie calls of strange birds. Aaron, unfazed, carefully scanned the area, hoping to find trace of the people that kidnapped Alice. After looking around for a while, he decided to move to the left side of the road, away from where he had parked. Upon checking the surroundings, he couldn't find any possible strong trace that could track those guys. So as he was about to walk away, he noticed a movement within the forest. He withdrew back, returning his gaze to that spot, but didn't see any further unu
•Welcoming Her• Immediately, Juan ran out of the house and hugged Alice, checking to ensure she wasn't hurt. "Alice, are you okay? I hope you weren't hurt by them," She asked. Alice, who did not seem hurt in any way, appeared indifferent to her sister's concern. "I'm fine," she said, leaving Juan behind and heading straight to the house. Upon meeting Aaron at the entrance, she ignored him as she entered. Aaron and Juan exchanged a glance. Alice's sudden arrival was so strange, and she did not appear to have been hurt by those guys in any way. Nevertheless, Juan proceeded inside the house, following Alice, while Aaron also joined them inside also, everyone of them wanted to hear from Alice. • • "Alice, what happened? How did you manage to escape from them?" Juan asked immediately she joined Alice in her room, while Aaron waited at the entrance. "I told you I'm fine! Please, leave me alone!" Alice yelled, chasing Juan out of her room and locking the door. "Are you sure you are
"Aaron! What are you doing in here?" she exclaimed, trying to cover her nakedness with her hands. Aaron immediately shifted his gaze to the floor as Alice retreated back to the bathroom. "I... I came to check on you," Aaron stated after stammering for a while. "Check on me! You entered my room without my permission," Alice yelled loudly before shutting the door of the bathroom. "I know, I'm sorry, but I think I should be leaving now," Aaron said as he exited her room. While he was leaving, Alice quickly opened the bathroom door, peeked out, and prepared to speak but ended up remaining silent, allowing Aaron to get away like that. Then she stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, and hurried to her phone on the bed. She checked the text message sent to her. Her heart filled with unease as she realized Aaron might have seen the message, although she couldn't be certain. She knew she had to be cautious and swift in her actions, especially if Aaron hadn't seen the message.
